Yes, I also received that same error when activating the "Return to Store" link. The Store attempts to redirect; Location bar shows: asset://Turbine/bardo.html. Albeit it was not a major issue for me; I could just close the user-agent; activate and thus load the Store again from in-game and use the current temporary external web browser interface, etc.

I find the store far more responsive regarding loading and navigating when using it via the Web Browser. Than I do with the typical in-game version, which has been in place in the recent past.

    Default HAPPY11TH Expired!?

I posted this in other threads already, but this one seems to be the cause of my problem.

I can't redeem my HAPPY11TH code on the external browser, evn though I should have some time left.

Please extend the Coupon Time for 1 day after you fixed the store.

    Thank you

I guess this will be the tell-tale of whether there's really any interest by the new ownership in listening to the customers, or if they're simply trying to shave some profit off of a piece of software in the knacker's yard (AKA 'obsolescence phase').

The 2 cakes per account made sense if they wanted to prevent multi-toon farming of the items (don't know why that's needed with BTA, but whatevs).

However it was beyond bone-headed to change the Store system before a festival, particularly when you're only offering a measly 5 free Traveler tokens. I've heard plenty of criticism about the prizes being no better than random loot, and that's largely been my experience, so to expect a filthy casual player like me to pony up even MORE to get tokens would require a smooth purchase interface at a minimum.

P.S. oh, and I'm not about to gamble on the 'temporary' interface, since it appears to want me to agree to a prepared purchase and won't allow access to the store. Neither do I intend to use a different browser simply to accommodate this game, nor will spend any more money until I'm certain the transaction is at least somewhat secure.

I'll skip my '5 FREE tokens' and play something else.

    Default in-browser store

would / might be a nice feature in the future - but it just stole 1250 TP from me by selling me 3x transactions instead of just one. Yes, I want the points back.

I cannot get the store link to open. I tried minimizing it, but it would not prompt the store link. Ended up having to trick it by playing the credits. It took changing my default browser to Chrome to open something.

And of course, it turns out the my VIP expired over the weekend. I am leery to pay to buy a full year's sub from an external website that I cannot guarantee that the money will get to my account as there is no place where it references my account username.

Put in a ticket yesterday via email but no response. Very unhappy since it took over a week and half to get my last Paypal issue resolved and then this happens three days later.

Any tips on how to get the account reactivated? I am going to miss guild nights and gaming with my daughters.

We'd like to look into this further, and potentially escalate it to one of our payment processors. If you haven't yet submitted a ticket, please do so here: https://help.standingstonegames.com/...form_id=437947

If you have submitted a ticket, get me the ticket number.

While everyone here is pointing out issues they're running into, I want to thank you guys for introducing this feature and hope you make it permanent. I play DDO on Linux and have not been able to access the store for more than a year, until now.

Agreed, but for other reasons - in particular, Awesomium is extremely slow when browsing the DDO Store.

@Fictive: Last time I was able to play on linux, the store worked fine for me. Make sure you're using an up-to-date wine (1.6 isn't gonna cut it anymore, you want at least 1.8, preferably 2.0 or higher), that you're running in Windows 7 mode not Windows XP mode as has been suggested in the past, and that you both have the 32-bit version of gnutls installed and that your wine install supports gnutls. If/when they re-enable the in-game store, if you're still having problems, post a new comment on the wine AppDB entry - I will see it (I might not see a reply here). Be sure to include your distribution (including version) and what versions of wine you've tried recently.

So, I was unable to open the store. A guildy, my guild leader who has been a VIP since Beta, pasted her link to the store trying to help me out.

I navigated to the item I wanted to buy, and then noticed that I was spending down 82k DDOP. The link she provided was for her account, and I could have spent her DDOP as if I was on my own account.

Of course I closed the browser, but this is a rough issue. Anyone else who saw her post could have used the link provided to spend down her DDOP.

Trying to use the external store, it kept timing out. I could search, but by time I got to what I wanted to purchase (Gnome race) it told me there was an error.

I also was unable to access my favorites.

That's not a timeout. The Dragonborn, Gnome, and possibly Deep Gnome races are causing the store to error out on the server side, effectively making them unavailable for purchase (possibly only for some people). The links don't time out, which reminds me about posting a PSA about that.

Correct, the inline store worked here too on Linux/wine at least a month ago. (Used my first happy11th token that way and the second in the new external store, heh.)

Although the exactly correct Wine settings seem to depend on the date of installation (not necessarily of DDO, depending on what you've used in that $WINEPREFIX) - due to the no-redistribution clauses in the licenses of some of the libraries used and that old versions occasionally drop off the 'net...

Then again we've seen that this can happen when installing DDO on a fresh Windows system too, anyway.

    Emphasis mine.

This is a potentially major problem. Please hotfix soon.

Especially as the store access urls don't seem to be for a limited time either. At least mine still work from ~50 hours ago.

Still can if they still have the link available.

I was able to purchase them by going to the Character Selection screen, clicking Create, and clicking the Buy Now link that automatically opens the store to the correct item. Browsing there manually from the front page of the store resulted in the error you mentioned.

Folks - I never post. But this particular issue is very irritating. Let's get this resolved and tested and deployed.

Same problem here. No answer to the problem either.
