Been gone for a few years. Last time I played the druid was the new thing and I had been playing since around launch. So is it worth coming back now and how much of this new content is actually back to being fun to play?

Left because I was deployed and when I got back home almost all of the people I played with quit the game

I think the game is still fun, but it is really different since you last played. Loot has gotten more powerful, Classes have become more powerful....basically it's a story of Powercreep. As a result, they have added Reaper mode and Champions to the mix to try to bring back some challenge to the game. IMO, this has been a success even though some folks question how it has been implemented.

Find yourself a good guild and just jump in. It hasn't changed so much that you will feel like a noob...but you will definitely notice the difference.
