So far only levamel 4 but having fun. Sticking with reaper 2.
Followed Fran's enhancement guide till things started making sense, branched out a little.
Got annoyed at warlock blast not fire immediately after break a barrel or crate, took quickdraw at level 3.
also turned off auto target breakables.
didnt help much. probally gonna regret quickdraw when empower actually will do something.
Went fiend because hurl. and because can cook tasty ham now with blasts.
Still dont fully understand eldritch blasts.
What feats help them (besides the free warlock 'blast does more damage)?
does quickdraw actually do anything for caster warlock?
Empower and maximize for dps
quicken is useful later on for some spells eg tentacles fods charms
Evoc or conj focus can be useful for pact or damage or web cc
quik draw i would not take on a warlock its eldritch chain lag nothing really fixes it
Damonz Cannith
Yes having to go through the animation is annoying {same as with Artis and Repeaters} - I know there's a post somewhere from a Dev stating something about Quickdraw affecting spellcasting but I can't find it and I haven't heard anything definite about it working on Warlock Chain or Basic Blast - Just rumours and possibilities - I couldn't fit it in myself to test it.
When you say didn't help "much" how much? Did it help at all?
Well it's fire damage so a lot will be immune or resistant to it but pact is your choice.
If you're talking about the stances i.e. Basic Bolt at Lvl 1, Chainshape {T2 Tainted Scholar}, Aura {Core 1 Enlightened Spirit but needs lots of points spent in ES to get up to being viable to use - I don't tend to start using Aura till Lvl 12 at the earliest, I use Chain below that} and Cone {T3 Souleater} well they use Spellpower/Lore and Evoc Focus.
Max/Emp works on Eldritch Burst/Spirit Blast {which are basically Aura Cleaves} from Enlightened Spirit and other special attacks in Soul Eater and Tainted Scholar but doesn't do anything to your basic or Stance Damage.
Again I believe it's SUPPOSED {According to the Devs} to speed things up with spellcasting but I can't find the particular post.
There's also been a few rumours about quickdraw from the playerbase but no specific yes it does work for Warlocks or no it doesn't.
Maybe it speeds things up a bit but not really enough to be worth it?
If you don't think it's working for you just use your free feat swap from Lockania to swap it out at Lvl 6 or 9 or 12 for a more useful feat.
Again my feat choice would be...
1) Force of Personality
3) Wizard Past Life or Spell Focus Evoc.
6) Maximise
9) Empower
12) Spell Focus or Gtr Spell Focus Evoc. {You're Fiend Pact so not so much need for Enchant bonuses}.
15) Erm you're Fiend Pact, No Disco Ball, Not sure if you need Quicken so would probably take Mental Toughness for the bonus Crit Chance on Spells
18) Imp. Mental Toughness or Spell Pen.
If Human swap in Spell Focus: Necro maybe for that Quickdraw.
Or a Toughness.
Oh and Eldritch Burst {T3 Enlightened Spirit} is an Aura Cleave - You can jump above crates and hit this to smash them all - For that it doesn't need max/emping .
At low levels on a Lock frankly I just wouldn't bother smashing crates - it takes way too long - same as with any single target ranged build!

Was looking for something else and came across this picture of a Fiend Warlock. I know no iconics for KArgon, but nice pic to see what enchacemnts I used and my hot bars. Of course a bagillion ways to play a Fiend warlock.
I took EVO I and II and Necro I and II feats on the way to 30
