Either Fiend Pact + Red Dragon Heritage

Or Great Old One + Black Dragon Heritage

Fey doesn't have a Dragon Heritage to go with it unfortunately.

I agree that Fiend + Red Dragon and GOO + Black Dragon are the best synergies as far as consolidation of Spell Power gearing.


For Fey you might consider Blue Dragon and do a Thunder/Lightning type build but even that you might have to go Bard/Warlock split to maximize the sonic damage.

I'm running a Great Old One + Black Dragon Heritage right now, mostly for the racial reincarnate to get the +1 cha. I'm underwhelmed with the Breath though, at least at low levels in repear r1-2. Much more effective throwing all points into pact damage tree. Will try respec'ing at a higher level and see if it makes more sense there.

Just came off a human warlock life that was CON focused and chain/spirit blast reapered low level all the way to 20. Pretty unstoppable tank (even in 6-man parties where 5 others died), but slower on the boss killing.

After earning those 10 racial points though, the thought of being able to grab breath+ everything that a tanky warlock needs looks mighty appealing.

So I went through dragonborn warlock life twice in the past 3 days. I've come to the conclusion that dragon breath is not worth it unless you have spare racial points from racial reincarnation.

My suspicion exactly. Unless they either change the cooldown or change the spellpower % (50% is really low), it's just a flavor weapon. Even then, compared to going human with spare racial points and and getting the extra feat plus free HAMP...

Tested GOO + black dragon warlock with draconic incarnation. The breath augmentation from DI work with your racial dragon breath. Likewise, 2 blast and/or energy vortex on a group of mobs of about 4-5 mobs while having draconic hunger on = instant epic moment fully charged.
