Default Creative build help for Beta Ray Thor build

So when the DB became available, I was thinking about a Beta Ray Bill Thor build. Single weapon, Paladin, Warhammer, Blue dragon. Any suggestion or ideas?

Steve Howe was voted "Best Overall Guitarist" in Guitar Player magazine five years in a row (1977–1981) and in 1981 was the first rock guitar player inducted into the Guitar Player Hall of Fame.

Sounds like a straightforward flavor build. Is the idea to use Dragon Breath in combat or blue dragon heritage merely for more flavor?

It really is just a flavor build. That being said, would it be better to splash sorc or bard and use breath? I have seen some of your build ideas on the forums and have been impressed. Any advice would be welcome.

TBH, I've no idea. I've mulled some DB sorc or warlock builds, but they're basically just pure casters who go heavy into the DB tree for breath weapons. [Naturally the new RR system helps if you're willing to farm 30 PLs for +10 APs.] I hadn't really thought about melee hybrids yet, perhaps because DB don't get CHA-mod-to-melee-dmg like PDK do.

The most obvious issue is the same one which plagues every melee / caster hybrid I've tried: namely serious shortage of APs & feats. The advantage of being paladin-based is two of your best DPS bonuses (Zeal + Holy Sword) are spells so no APs required for those. Downside is needing 15 pal lvls, which means only 5 left over for other things; plus pallies don't get bonus feats the way ftrs do, ofc.

I dunno, I'd have to mull it over for a while...

Onatar will get to be be your personal Odin.
Things worthy of Standing Stone going EXTREME PREJUDICE™ on.:
    • Epic and Legendary Mysterious ring upgrades, please.
    • Change the stack size of filigree in the shared bank to 50. The 5 stack makes the shared bank worthless for storing filigree in a human usable manner.
    • Fixing why I don't connect to the chat server for 5 minutes when I log into a game world.
    • Fixing the wonky Lightning Sphere and Tactical Det firing by converting them to use alchemist spell arcing.
    • Redoing the drop rates of tomes in generic and raid loot tables.

I dimly remember there was an older q-staff build around somewhere that focused on electric procs for flavor reasons and at the time did acceptable even? sadly forgot what it's called.

If you were to go tempest and dual wield your hammers you could pick up electric dmg on hit from tempest tier 3/4 ...

Tier5 tempest is also a very easy way to assure some melee dmg output ...

but i guess single weapon is also required, so nvm ...

IIRC, you are not required to be dual-wielding to use Storm Dancer / Tempest; it works with any melee style. Although a deep ranger splash and 22 APs for a fairly blah DPS boost on a non-TWF build is not exactly the best use of one's build resources.
