Angry Why not LOCK REAPER mode ON BASE LEVEL TO ENTER?

I seriously think REAPER MODE should lock at base quest level allowing one or more level higher than the base quest level at normal is ridiculous!
If your game play is only good for Casual well people just have to deal with it, having over level allowed to do reaper mode is stupid then you have pugs that can get reaper when doing a quest 6 level above the base quest level on normal? What the f... is this b... s...????

Because this thing called over level penalty still applies and starts as soon as you are 1 lvl over the base lvl of a quest(for reaper xp only)? 6 levels over nets you like 95% xp penalty so the point would just be to farm some items and allows for quests in epic if you are a capped toon to be farmed too.

Before Reaper, I usually ran Elite at base level +2.

Now I regularly do R1/R2 base level +1 or +2. I expect the R-level to rise as my reaper xp rises.

Is this really ridiculous and BS in your opinion?

    Enough to lock me out?

Is my game play only good enough for Casual?

Me thinks you do not really understand how the reaper system works...

I encourage you to check out Reaper Mode on DDOwiki.
Reaper mode is based on the quest level on normal, despite what the quest window says. So, it scales kind of like this... Let's use Stealthy Repossession as an example. Stealthy Repo is a base level 2 quest (on normal).
    • Casual = base - 1 = 1
    • Normal = base = 2
    • Hard = base + 1 = 3
    • Reaper 1 = base + 1 + reaper mechanic = 3.5
    • Elite = base + 2 = 4
    • Reaper 2 = base + 2 + reaper mechanic = 4.5
    • Reaper 3 = base + 3 + reaper mechanic = 5.5
    • Reaper 4 = base + 4 + reaper mechanic = 6.5
    • Reaper 5 = base + 5 + reaper mechanic = 7.5
    • Reaper 6 = base + 6 + reaper mechanic = 8.5
    • Reaper 7 = base + 7 + reaper mechanic = 9.5
    • Reaper 8 = base + 8 + reaper mechanic = 10.5
    • Reaper 9 = base + 9 + reaper mechanic = 11.5
    • Reaper 10 = base + 10 + reaper mechanic = 12.5

Based on this rough estimation, and yes I know it doesn't really scale like that - it's more exponential which means 10 skull is actually way more than a level 12.5 equivalent... Why shouldn't anyone level 1-8 be able to run this quest? People who want a challenge at level 8 can still run 10 skull which is roughly equivalent to a level 12/13 quest. That said, you don't have to run 10 skull at level 1 and you don't have to run Casual at level 8... If you choose to run 10 skulls at level 1 and get pwned, that's your fault, if you choose to run 1 skull at level 8, you'll get nothing special out of it because of power leveling penalties... So, what difference does it make?
