FvS AoV Scourge not working with Wlk Eldritch/Chain Blast?

Maybe I'm reading/understanding this wrong.

I have a currently level 16 (12 Warlock-Fiend Pact, 4 Favored Soul) and trying to capitalize on scourge proccing on my Chain blast. It is not.

When I shift to Eldritch Aura, scourge procs when I get a crit as expected. Shift back to chain blast... no procs.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Eldritch blast and chain blast both have language in the description indicating they are treated as evocation spells, and are force/fire spells with scourge is supposed to proc any time you get a crit on a force/fire, etc. damaging spell.

I did several forum searches to see if possibly this is broken, but I can't find anything; I suppose my search-fu isn't so good. The only thing related I could find was a similar issue with the Master of Knowledge feat which appears to have been fixed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Scourge procs off of spells. Blasts are not spells. As Psy said the break is that Eldritch Aura ura is improperly triggering Scourge. SSG has acknowledged the break as not working as intended. It is likely they will fix the problem at some point when they have the time and resources to do it. They fixed the Master of Knowledge feat, which was also being triggered improperly by EA several months after acknowledging it was not WAI.

Blasts are indeed spells by their description:

"Eldritch Blast: Focused
...(snip)...
This is treated as an Evocation spell, and damage scales with 130% spell power. It is also affected normally by spell critical chance and spell critical damage. Gaining more Warlock levels grants feats that increase this damage.

This is not affected by metamagic feats, nor by melee and ranged feats. Medium armor, heavy armor, and shields can cause Eldritch Blast to suffer Arcane Spell Failure."

Note it says 'This is treated as an Evocation spell.' It is also affected by arcane spell failure. The Master of Knowledge feat states specifically "Your Arcane Bolt and Arcane Blast Spells," not Aura.

Likewise, the Scourge description is "Whenever you cast a Fire, Force, Light, or Physical damage spell..." with no caveat where it wouldn't apply to a particular spell. By the description of Eldritch Blast, it qualifies.

Blast/Chain and Aura all have similar language in the description or are simply a stance based upon the basic focused blast, they should work together with scourge. I don't see any ambiguity between the two or see any reason why they shouldn't work.
