needed clarification if it was WAI or a bug/could be banned for exploiting...and it got deleted? what gives? seems like information you would really not want to hide from folks playing your game....you know, reasons you would ban them

The fact your thread was deleted should tell you everything you need to know.
Steve Howe was voted "Best Overall Guitarist" in Guitar Player magazine five years in a row (1977–1981) and in 1981 was the first rock guitar player inducted into the Guitar Player Hall of Fame.
fact it was deleted means other people who might or might not be using said exploit will not know that it is being looked at as an exploit/bug. right now folks that i hear talking about it keep saying "oh its been this way for years, no way they can ban everyone doing it" and stuff of that nature...ya dig?

jeez just use your head.
if there was intent to deal with it anytime soon there would be a confirmation and then a thread lock to prevent whine.
if it was wai there would be a confirmation and no thread lock.
thread deleted = non wai, no clue when fixed/no clue how to fix/not a priority/need to look into it first/etc -
/whatever

The DDO public forums are not really the appropriate place to publicly discuss possible exploits in such detail, you agreed to those 'terms and conditions' when joining the DDO forums.
You should have contacted Cordovan via PM with your concerns over people abusing the system rather than start a detailed thread on the topic. I also saw the original post but cannot discuss specifically about what you wrote due to DDO forums rules, etc.
Clearly it came to Cordovan's attention and he acted appropriately. Should you have any disputes with his actions to censor the [original post] that probably bent/broke the forum rules. Then you should address him directly via the appropriate channels, e.g. PM Cordovan. I hope that helps, I cannot give further assistance but some of the posts above have explained; common sense, would dictate some details in the "original thread" topic wasn't deemed appropriate and hence got moderated.
