Chain Missle - Missles not firing?

So I've recently rolled a shiradi wizard BF (currently in heroics, but will be shiradi), and I've noticed that I'm getting 5 hits with all my magic missles, but my chain missle is only doing 1 bigger hit. Is this how it was supposed to be? Is it adding the damage of all the missles together, and if so, so I still have 10 different procs for Shiradi?

You shoot one big missile at your target which then shoots out several smaller missiles which hit nearby enemies.

For a shiradi, force missiles is not really for single target.
