    Default 3rd class advice for an 18/1/1 Rogue Mech/Arty/???

    OK. I'm making a mechanic and there are loads of threads on builds for splits vs pure. I'm going to have a multiclass so my question is what is the class I should take for one level. I know I won't get the L6 core and extra SA from L19 rogue.

    My considerations are:

    Barbarian: 10% movement speed, Alignment restriction - This is a possibility as I enjoy fast movement and adding in +18% movement from acrobat would be tempting.

    Fighter: Extra feat, Haste Boost at L1 and extra boosts - The haste boost is the argument for this splash.

    Monk: Extra feat - I'm not so thrilled by monk as I'd be uncentered all the time and the only feat I'd take would be precision. Fighter has this beat in my opinion.

    Wizard: Extra feat, Invisibility SLA - An extra spell casting feat and I can scroll invis so probably not this.

    Warlock: Eldritch aura to passively power Arcane Warrior ranged power - I'm lazy and maintaining Arcane Warrior without effort appeals to me.

    Arty: Rune arm - Little bit of DPS and and extra gear slot. Not that appealing to compared to Barb, Fighter or Warlock for me. Maybe if the imbue scaled with spell power but until then not this.

    So that's my reasoning for either Barbarian, Fighter or Warlock?

    I'd appreciate some advice

    What's the build? Crossbow or melee? If melee, what sort?

    Makes a diff. (e.g. If the build doesn't need a feat, then an "extra" one from Fighter doesn't help. If a ranged build, then +10% run/kite speed is pro'ly most important, etc.)

    Just curious - if you aren't MC'ing for a specific reason, why do it?

    Sorry about not being clear.

    This is a ranged build I was thinking of going half elf for access to arcane archer and paralysing arrows. I know they're not officially WAI with xbows however they are fun. The triple multiclass is a personal flavour thing. I always have three classes on a toon.

    I'm leaning towards the Barb version as enhancement points don't work out with the fighter variant - not enough points for haste boost unless I drop paralysing arrows which kinda defeats the object.

    I could drop to Terror arrows but that'd be a different beast and not reaper friendly.

    Hmm decisions...

    My preferred MCed splits for Mechanics are either rog 19 / barb 1 for the +10% runspeed (29% vs 20% on pure rogue); or rog 18 / arty 2 for extra feats & runearms (partly for extra DPS to offset losing capstone and partly for the extra aug slots or passive bonuses).

    Dumping INT (and thus your primary DPS stat) in order to go WIS-based to use known not-WAI imbues seems...unwise (pardon the pun). But since you know it's broken already and thus presumably realize you'll need to LR/TR if & when SSG fixes those bugs, knock yourself out. However metamagics don't affect imbues, so there's no point in taking Embolden. Not sure about Arcane Insight, though.

    Thanks for that. Barb it is. Looks like I have a free feat as well if I drop Embolden.

    I suspect that the fix to imbues is complicated and the workaround for the devs is to increase the amount of deathwards/freedom of movements, etc. in reaper and make them non-dispellable.

    Either way make hay while the sun shines.
