Default Are there any plans for animal companions for ranger? or familiars for wizzy/warlock?

I bet this has been brought up in the past, but animal companions and familiars both seem like staples of d&d that didn't make it to ddo.

Ranger's companion wouldn't have to strong, just a pet to help draw aggro/pull levers (and look super cute! ), same with familiars, a weak animal companion who gives a small buff to the master (+2 to a couple skills depending on your familiar).

sorry if this is a silly thread, but I want a tressym companion/familiar! every time I play a class with pet capabilities in tabletop I try to acquire a tressym as soon as my DM allows it.

thanks for reading my unthought out shower thought )

There have been threads in the past with this request, usually vetoed by some portion of the player base that feel rangers should have to choose between their automatic feats to either be ranged or melee and that casters are already more powerful than melee without a pet. Personally, I'd like my lore based thematic class pets but pet/hireling AI is not particularly the best in this game and pet scaling and gearing is also very poor. I make do with cosmetic pets to fulfill my lore/RP needs as regards to animal companions/familiars. There are Tressym cosmetic pets available.
