Slard reaper xp is so horrible at 30 cap that yes i would run reaper epic dailies

If i could get any xp instead of tring my main over n over again sucks big time

I've only had 3 hours play time total since the release came out and I have 3 other alts to get through it that have no need to TR. I know all about slow progress. To me the idea of TRing the old content with reaper difficulty is fun so that is what I am doing .... slowly though due to too much real life happening.

Yeah, but I am wondering would vets continue to run dailys? I would rather run dailys on elite reaper now on the appropriate level quest and would never run an EH daily any more. I assume many others would feel the same, but that is speculation.

Depends. If the goal is to fill destinies or get those ETRs done then might desire EH if too high level for reaper, as some of those juicy XP quests are low 20s. Other options include reaper at or near level, for those not concerned with filling destinies the fastest but getting reaper XP. On characters that already have the ETRs I want, reaper. /shrug

what if they sell ottos reaper xp stones? now you can just buy that and get rid of the grind, so you can run alts as well.

I think we all know it is a matter of 'when', not 'if'. There's really no need to farm RXP. Just wait a year or so.

I would not doubt that maybe in a year or so something like this would be sold in the store, but how would this work? like the epic Ottos where you get commendations and only gain like 4 levels? since Reaper xp is for trees and not affecting your characters leveling and to be able to use the level gated cores, they probably would have to bundle it with a skipping stone too.

I personally don't think they will every sell xp stones or reaper xp pots like everyone has been saying since it came out.

If that were true they wouldn't have fixed the current xp pots so that they work on reaper xp. They would have left them not work and vip not work so that reaper xp pots would be very sought after.

I also think they will lower the amount of xp needed or increase the xp gained within the next few months as they see how things progress.

The best thing is that in game I play on Sarlona and I fill EVERY reaper group I put up as well as every EE group or EH group within minutes as long as its not a bad time of night. People in game don't have many issues with reaper. The people with the most issues are ranting here about how end game is now ruined for them and they will have to TR and...blah blah blah.

I remember when the TR lvl was 28 and when it switched to 30 people complained that the people who had already got epic completionist done would have an unfair advantage and the response was a simple "You should have tried harder when the level was lower." Now those people who DO have all TR's done as complaining that they simply "NEED" to get reaper xp and don't feel like they should have to TR to get it and now I guess the response is "Maybe you shouldn't have been in such a rush to get it?". Heh sorry I know the game has been out for many years but lets stop complaining and just play the game. yes if you want OPTIMAL reaper xp you need to TR. If you don't then you can do dailies just like you did to get epic xp. yes it will take longer but that is a good thing. it should take a VERY long time to make it last.

Also you don't NEED to get reaper. Yes reaper will make it easier to do some higher lvl reaper raids but it won't stop you. Any decent player can do it. We already have people completing raids on R10 with literally no reaper xp and they succeeded. If people don't feel reaper should give xp then simply don't spend the points. Some people want it and some don't. Stop trying to ruin other people's gameplay by saying its a fail when all I see people in game is having fun again. I haven't needed my jibbers in ages and now I see myself using it almost every quest. Every group I have been playing with loves the feel of dying again and needing to rethink zerging strategies.

I like reaper a lot and am very happy they implemented it like they did. Yes I would have liked the base lvl of reaper to be the same as Elite but it isn't a biggie that they didn't. It makes it a little harder and that's fine. I could care less about reaper xp but I will spend it as I get it. I will get it because of the extra regular xp I am getting and the increased chance of loot drops.

And I especially love those saying that because I like reaper I am snigging SSG. Glad I live in America where I have the right to my own opinion and it is equal to yours =)

R10 is not that easy.

Remove the level lockout and xp penalties, the system is a fail already let people at least play whatever they want.

Reaper killed my alts.

But now I am having tons of fun with my main toon!

Was just going over plans to get all my heroic x3 lives... not worried about reaper... with such a climb im sure it will deal with itself in time.

Right now its asap TRing for me, reaper isn't so important, just fun and helps make farming easier.

As to my alts, as I look over my plans... next 3 barbarian lives for hps (so vital now), then palidan for heal amp (obviously why not), then run down for complete, then 2x clean ups focusing on defense pl feats first. Phew, just making the plans takes time :P NOOOOO WAYYYY Im doing this for alts.

Alts are dead.

Reaper is fun.


I think they need to add a new level of game play really though. Immortal mode... it is coming time to enter super power mode and have toons turn into GODS!

They need to take it further for those who do not want to grind back to heroics. Then they can keep reaper, and make so many people happy.

My dreams of Immortality are so so far away :P

But I would never kill the dream for my fellow gamers!

I would be happy to see em all rush far ahead and have fun.

Maybe somehow the Final Immortal phase of DDO (better come up with something genius too, we all expect it eagerly :P) can once again validate alts while making uber TRs like still enjoy hard earned gains.

That would be magic. Alts live on. Uber TRs keep their uberness. But both are valid in the final Immortal phase.. even first Life Alts being able to turn into Immortals powerful enough to be FUN and entertaining for those of us who enjoy OPTIONS without painful grinding for them twice :P


I suppose in a way we can consider reaper part of the initiation. We are taken on Death after all... Reaper Mode seems a good pre cursor to Immortality mode, but it would be sad if it was turned into a pre-requisite. That would be like murdering any shred of a chance for alts ever :P Just use it to justify turning into Immortals eventually when all the thoughts are worked out. I am not going to even begin to suggest how to do that, just that I have not the slightest doubt uber powered toons cant keep going much longer without basically turning into Gods.. and kicking reaper ass... it all adds up
