Default Are there actually ANY GM's on Cannith?

So I wanted to try out Reaper. I had never bothered with it previously, so I went to an old standby dungeon, with a relatively low level toon.
Quest: Recovering the Lost Tome (from the Harbor).

Elite is Level 4, Reaper 1 is also Level 4.

I took a lvl 6 toon (arti 5, ranger 1), with my 5th level dog, and a 6th Cleric hire.

The first half went swimmingly-- you talk to the NPC, he points to the book (meanwhile, disarm the first room trap--behind the pole).

Once you "do" the bookshelf (book), that unlocks the door lever-- "do" the lever, proceed into the first half.

Long hall, splits into two rooms, one small, the other long with lightning traps (high INT check disables). After killing the last trap, a Skele spawns. There was some odd-looking thingy, which I killed. THEN the Skele archer spawns as usual. Killed that too. There was a "Magic Gem" underneath the odd monster? Was that a reaper? (kinda weak, IMO). I hit the gem, got 20sp back. Okay. One spell's worth... glad I wasn't using any magic on it...

Next, back to the main room, through the door you had to lever open-- what the FORK? It is now CLOSED?

It is NOT supposed to auto-close! There is no lever on the dungeon side! What are you supposed to do-- park ANOTHER hire on that side of the door?

I've played this one literally dozens of times, and it is NOT supposed to auto-close....

FAIL. So I enter a Help Ticket-- at 8:15 my time (it reads 9:15 in the ticket, I guess they don't use Daylight Savings Time?) While waiting for a response, I tried the /STUCK command-- nope. It moved me BACK down the dungeon, not to the other side of the door.

Tried to add some comments to the [no]Help ticket-- but it's now locked-down-- no more comments until the GM (an apparently non-extant entity) "comments".

I see the NOHELP/IGNORE system is working as intended... to 100%, too!

    So, it's been 45 minutes....

    The IGNORE/NOHELP is working perfectly.

    Default Gave up.

Exited the game. No help whatsoever. No response from the "GM".

I'm sorry you had a bad experience. Now a days, it's usually better to AVOID asking for a GM unless something horrible has happened. Defining horrible as toon deletion, loss of epic XP/destinies when TR'ing, etc.

With the long, sometimes forever wait time, and the sometimes closing of your ticket without a response, it's just better to start over.

Standing Stone Games is going thru a transition right now. This is their first big release since breaking away from Turbine. The basics are the foundation for success, but they are a little dizzy from their adventure. I am sorry you didn't get a GM. But I would try to enjoy the game as much as possible regardless. If I was a betting man, I would wager that DDO sadly gets transported to another plane of existance by a VIOLET prismatic ray. Probably around the end of 2018.

    I am sorry too.

I'm a VIP since 2012. This is my last year, due to bad/no GM, unfixed aggro* and other issues.

I will *not* renew in August of this year, unless *something* improves.

So far? It's getting worse-- not better...

    * yes-- I ran around in 3bC before this fiasco, and the aggro bug is NOT fixed-- not even a little bit.

Worse: the hit-point bars are now nerfed beyond all utility-- you must specifically target each monster to see the bar, and the targeting is ALSO nerfed as well... it won't remain locked (random shifts between mobs)...

Sadly, it looks like they are going to have to transition without me, or my annual VIP payment...

    Hmmmmm.

I have also ran into that door being closed before.
    It was awhile back.
Killed mobs on BOTH sides. And then ran back to find the door closed. It was a real *** moment for me. (Your original post doesnt mention anything about the zombie side, btw)

It turned out to be a PEBKAC issue.

In my haste I neglected to hit BOTH levers.

    60 min for a 5 minute quest.

The targeting issue, have you tired pressing the 'G' key to toggle targeting?
I think there is also a key to toggle HP bars too.

Maybe look in your keybind options. Someone on a mac had to redo his.

I did go back and check-- no joy. Both levers were stuck in the "activated" position...

I have mapped my 4th and 5th mouse keys to target next and target previous -- and these work. BUT.

The target-hold engine? Has been Nerfed, apparently, and you lose "target" too easily now... you cannot hold it like you used to be able to do...

As for the HP bars? There was mention elsewhere that they have apparently Nerfed these too, with the latest "update", according to several players' observations (including mine).

The Aggro Bug is still unresolved as well.

This is what we can expect from SS games: The same old run-around as before...
