Armor question

Quick question - Would a pure ranger be able to wear Scalemail of the Celestial Avenger? I realize Rangers are proficient only with light armor. However, this armor is made from darkwood. There was an old armor type that used to drop called "darkleaf". Darkleaf, as I understand, is made from darkwood. Darkleaf armor was one class lighter (ie. medium was actually light). Wondering if darkwood has that same property. Or maybe they're the same thing. I' trying to catch up on gear from being away from the game and I don't want to purchase the wrong armor. Thanks.

You are thinking of mythral armor which isn't supported anymore (but still be found in older packs).

As far as the armor you linked, no you would require "light" armor if you want the synergy with Ranger Enhancements.

Oh, right, the enhancements. Ugh... I wasn't even thinking. Now I feel a little stupid. They couldn't just make a light armor with doublestrike what the hell.
