    Default Divine Power Questions

I have a couple of questions regarding Divine Power.

First, Divine Power ( the tier 5 warpriest permanent buff) is exactly the same as Divine Power ( the spell buff ) right?

So once you have the enhancement, the spell is no longer needed?

Second, the buff gives +6 enhancement to strength, so if you already have +6 strength or better on gear then neither spell nor enhancement are needed anymore, or does the buff give any additional benefit other than the buff to strength?

I ask because I am not sure exactly what the bit about BAB means, whether that is part of what the additional strength gives anyway or extra specifically from buff?

T5 Warpriest effect is the same as the Divine Power spell.
The strength portion Divine Power does not stack with items.

As for the Base Attack Bonus, that has several benefits, most important being:
    * It is added to all attack rolls with any weapon.
    * The Physical Resistance Rating that you receive for wearing armor scales with BAB.

Ah I get what it means now, as a level 17 Cleric I would normally only have 12 BAB ( 0.75 BAB per level), but because the buff treats you as if a fighter of that level ( 1 BAB per level) the my BAB is 17 with the buff.

That also explains why my BAB shows as 12/17 rather than a single number?

Right, the first number is your actual BAB while the second is your boosted BAB. The difference is important because any feats with BAB pre-reqs will be based on the former, not the latter. Temp bonuses never count towards feat pre-reqs, so the same is true of feats with stat pre-reqs; i.e., your +6 STR from Divine Power doesn't count towards THF feats.

Don't forget this part of this poster's comment.

At cap, I would cast divine power for the PRR buff which in heavy armor gave me +22 PRR. Sanctuary gives another +20 ... and if you have Helm as a deity, I was getting +20 from that as well. Thus I was running around most of the time with +60 PRR on top of my regular bonuses. To me that is now the real power of Divine Power ... PRR (and BAB). The strength part is inconsequetional.

They should actually change all the buffs that divines can cast to sacred bonuses ... thus Divine Power would give a +6 sacred bonus to strength. Bull's strength would give a +4 sacred bonus to strength, etc. This change would make the spells viable again especially in epic as the latest gear update has invalidated these spells basically at levels 5 through 10 (+4 to +6 stat bonuses on gear now).
