"This character is already in the world" bug.

I have submitted an in-game ticket for this issue (on a different character), but of course & as usual, no response.

My character Ritualist (Khyber) is currently encountering the "This character is already in the world" bug.

I had just Epic TR'd him to claim the EPL. I releveled to 20 as artificer.
I then used a +20 Lesser Heart to change his class for HPL purposes, and reincarnated him as a L1 fighter.

When loading into the game after creation, the load screen froze for over half an hour.
I forced the game to quit, and I restarted the client.
Now every time I select Ritualist & attempt to load him in, I get that message.

I can log other characters in & out, without change to Ritualist's status.
After researching this issue on the forums, I am now also concerned about what other people have encountered with the same issue: Loss of all tomes, loss of all destiny XP, or both.
In Ritualist's case, that would be a +6 Supreme tome, a +3 Tome of Fate, and many skill tomes of varying bonuses (I know he has tomes for almost every skill, but unsure of particular +'s).

A timely fix for the login issue would be appreciated, as well as an additional moment of attention thereafter to ensure my tomes & destiny XP are all still in place. You know, so I don't have to wait another lengthy period of time before getting THAT issue resolved, if it manifests.

What a fun way to spend a day off in DDO...

So upon logging in today (not on Ritualist, who is still unable to, due to this bug), I find that my ticket has been closed, and in it the GM asks me to resubmit a new ticket again. ***? Ugh, whatever.

I resubmit the ticket and wait.... and wait... and wait... 2 hours so far.
And of course if I can't actually commit to a group or anything, because I may have to switch to Ritualist on a moment's notice. You gotta jump when these guys say 'jump'.
Such a great way to spend time playing this game.

A GM finally booted Ritualist from the server this morning, and I was finally able to log him in & complete the LR process back to level 20.

My tomes & PLs all appear to be in order, thankfully.
But as I feared, all my Epic Destiny XP is gone, and with it of course the fate points.
The karma is all still there (minus the arcane one I just emptied on the ETR prior to this whole fiasco), but all destinies are @ zero, and in fact not even claimed/unlocked yet.

Update: This issue has been resolved. Thanks to GM Caergoth for the help.
It took literally 2 minutes for the all the XP to be refilled manually, needing me to merely switch between active destinies until all were full again.

As a reminder from the GM, I was told it's good practice to completely log out & back in again at the creation step. Doing so rectifies a lot of these issues before they happen then, apparently.

A lot of talking to yourself on a thread that is important. Yes, I log-out and quit the game every time I ER/TR/IR. I have been bitten by the tome loss bug. You worry me since I am planning on ERing/+20LRing to a junk class and then TRing to re-run Artie. I will be extra careful in proceeding.

Stuck in world logging back in after an ETR. Submitted ticket on sunday when it happened; they auto closed the ticked this morning asking if I was still experiencing this to submit another ticket. I did. 10 hrs and no response. None. At. All.

I would be disappointed, but they have done an excellent job at setting a very low bar.

Having the same issues, how hard is it to get a gm to boot your character from the world? Just had the in game gm close my ticket telling me to contact customer support, and of course I have a 2 day wait time through that method? Thats pretty poor service imo.

Same deal. I also fail to see the difficulty in booting a toon by the GM. This service is as bad as calling the cable company and having you do their work for them

I'm still waiting for some help. The weekly world restart would've fixed it I'm sure but of course there wasn't one. What the hell does it take to get some help in this game?
