Default Deep Gnomes aren't real Gnomes?

I saw that Gnomes went on sale and I was excited I'd finally be able to have all the race options open again. I bought a 19.99 point bundle and went to purchase them only to find that the standard Gnomes were on sale, but not the Deep Gnomes. I still bought the standard Gnome race, but it was disappointing to not have their gray skinned cousins. Perhaps this could be clarified better in the future?

I know it sounds weird but deep gnome is a iconic CLASS in ddo
    And gnome is a race

In fact their racial enhancements(racial? But they're iconic CLASS xD) are slightly different

That's what lots of players are whining about iconics, they sell it like a full class only by having a racial enhancement and starting at 15
psykopeta is finally baconpletionist because there isn't anything to delay it more - thelanis, where the gimps claim to be pros and noobs claim to be pros, no newbies allowed(unless they claim to be pros), we have enough drama w/o them. PS: I post only in the latest thread shown in main page, in the weird case u want something from me, feel free to send pm

I was also bummed that the Iconic Gnome/Deep Gnome wasn't on sale. But going to the DDO Store the 1st day the "Gnome" sale started let me know right off the bat. Perhaps I'm just conditioned over the years to check the Store sales before jumping to conclusions (I was saving DDO points and patiently waiting for both Gnome versions to be on sale), that I'm not too upset about it. Honestly, you have to physically look at the sales in the Store before assuming, because the wording on the "Weekly Sales" page has always been absolutely atrocious. It would be nice, now that DDO is owned by an independent studio, that they finally learned to be more specific, while I also understand that they are also a company that is trying the make a profit.

Certain Weekend bonuses over the years, as well as sales (this included) have simply been poorly worded. This practice needs to be addressed, as it would be a sign of good faith to the community. Even something to the effect of "*DISCLAIMER* The Gnome Race is currently on sale, but the Gnome Iconic is not. Iconics are considered a Premium (poor word since it's used for Account type) Race, and does not fall in-line with the same financial range as regularly purchasable Classes or Races." It's all down to the 6 P's. Proper Planning Prevents P*** Poor Performance.

Seriously, someone in the eCommerce/Marketing department(s) at Standing Stone has to have a minor in English, right? Liberal Arts with a focus on English Lit or something?
