I had this issue too but Wizza's posted fix worked fine for me. I have to talk him for that since it broke DDO-ML and the regular launcher.

I have a similar problem I get the world selection hit the world I want then play. I get sent to a windows screen that asks for the gameclient.executable and lists all the ddo files. I selected every executable in the file and I get a weird message saying wrong one dummy (paraphrasing). I looked for wizza's posted fix and couldn't find it. I'm special mama says so. Any help out there? Fyi it takes 16 hours for me to uninstall ddo and then reinstall it. Thanks.

I've been playing this game a long time and here's what I think will happen. If I do nothing and forget about ddo for a day and then try logging on it will all work so that's what I think I'll do. If it doesn't work after a day then I'll probably uninstall the whole game and maybe I'll reinstall it. I may wait for them to completely work out all the bugs in the transition it takes some time to transfer a complicated game from one owner to another. I suspect the guys r working very hard at it. Thanks. Morwood the gimpling king.

I had the same problem, DDO launcher asks me where dndclient is. But I solved it.

I used this blog as a reference: https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/ast...udio-2005-sp1/

I installed (reinstalled) in this order:
    - VS redistributables for 2005: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down...s.aspx?id=3387
    - then SP1: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down...s.aspx?id=5638
    - the ATL patch: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down....aspx?id=14431
    - and then MFC patch : https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down....aspx?id=26347
This is for x86 (32 bit).

To be sure i repeated for x64.

I hope someone finds it useful. If it does SSG owns me a sixpack.

I am having this same login issue, the day after the update. Is this an ongoing thing? Is anyone able to login right now? Or is it just me?????

The hotfix will correct an issue with some player auras, including Aura of Menace and Angelic Presence, that are causing some enemies to not activate correctly. Additionally, this will provide our updated EULA, and change Heroic Greensteel Handwraps to be Bound to Character on Equip (as intended.)

NOTE: We're actually putting together the build tonight, so there's a small possibility something will come up that will prevent us from doing the hotfix tomorrow. If that happens, we'll let you know.
There's a patch for the patch today.

It's crazy how no one at Turbine (since it's still Turbine launcher) didnt think about throwing a decent exception when the server is down...

One **** try catch, like 3 lines of code?
