Weird e-mail issue with Paypal

I bought points today and when was paying with paypal a wrong but very similar e-mail address popped up.
(Like John.Doe@small.com instead of my normal Johnny.Doe@bigmail.com)

Anybody has any ideas why and how and also how much should I be worried?

Clear your web browsers cache and delete the saved passwords as it may be auto-filling them.

Thank You for the answer.
One of the e-mail provider I used was hacked so it gave me a bit of fright.
I just deleted the cache two days before and haven't used paypal, maybe that's why then, possibly tried to autofill from an online cache?
I save my passwords in my head... :O
