I wish I had an easy answer for you on this. There are plenty in the AH on argo, but I'm not paying 1 million plat for 100 or even 1000 essences. Those are hilarious numbers.

So if you are like me and not willing to be price-gouged off, then all I can advise is get someone to level 30 and hit quests and explorer areas for junk chests and just decon everything that isn't auction worthy. I'm in fact just logging into one of my epic characters for that express purpose.

A L30 item is going to give you 30ish shards, probably slightly more. So that's only about 30 items in order to get roughly the thousand essences people want you to pay a million plat for. If you buy 30 L30 items from the AH at like 15K each you're still only paying 300K so if that's your bag, you can just empty the AH, assuming you can find 30 items.

It's a little pricier than cleaning junk off the AH (always watch price vs item level there) but there are still a lot of people who just mass sell their junk to the Jewellry and Clothing Brokers. My personal value price on a CC essence is ~500-700p, and the higher level broker junk usually meets that value when deconning it. That's on level 11+ junk. Lower level stuff still gives 1-3 essences sometimes and can be irritating.


Can check the Armor & Weapon brokers as well, but they seem to reset a lot.
