Steam has been known to have xpacks on sale. Whether DDO Market or Steam, wait for the big sale that happens around U.S. Thanksgiving holiday or on toward Christmas. They are usually 75% off.

You have to log into the game in order to upgrade to VIP and to activate any Expansion Pack codes. You can purchase the Expansions through the DDO Market (http://store.turbine.com/store/turbi...emeID.29252200) but you have to activate it via the in-game Store.
