    Default Swift Defense change.

    Just made a joke about tank damage. Actually gave me an idea. I was thinking changing Swift Defense so that it's 3 tiers, 2 points per tier and increases both movement and attack speed by 5% Combat Style per tier if you're wearing heavy armor and using a shield. I think this would be just enough to make full tanks viable rather than a niche role filler for only a portion of the quests in the game.

    Tank damage is nothing to sneeze at.

    As for the movement speed/attack speed change: Vanguard already gives the attack speed, and so putting it into Defender hampers the tree.

    ...

    Not to mention that increasing an incredibly useful enhancement, that is more or less completely balanced to cost 3 more AP for the same effect (even if you need to put less points in vanguard) would not be a very welcome change.

    Now: 1/1/1 AP for 5/10/15% movespeed I would be completely happy with.

    Vanguard getting it was kind of the point. Vanguard is more of an off-tank thing. I was looking at means that wouldn't be exploitable for full tanks to get that little bit of push to be able to kill things a bit more reliably. 'Cause spending 41+ points in a tree that doesn't really offer anything for defense when trying to build a tank is pretty lame. Dedicated healers can find the damage, dedicated CC can find the damage, dedicated tanks struggle in the best of situations. I think 15% Attack speed wouldn't put anyone off Vanguard if they wanted damage, either.
