    Default ninja spy question

for a ninja spy monk, what are the pros of going pure monk vs throwing in 6 ranger, or 6 fighter, or maybe even going 8mnk/6rng/6ftr?

    For pure or purish:
In terms of enhancement trees, it is the capstone and henshin MP, so there are reasons to be pure. There is not enough AP to go around.

In terms of feats & general monkness, consider the cutoffs: 12 monk for abundant step, 15 for quivering palm, other various level boosts for movement speed, unarmed bypass & damage die, forms feats at 12 & 18, pure monk DR, etc.

Splashing means access to different powerful trees like tempest or DWS, extra feats that help with having ranged & melee attack, haste boost (monk trees lack this), tier 5 kensei for being centered with non-monk weapons (this is a biggie), and a long list that is subtly evident in specific builds.
Wiki dashboard with some useful stealthplay links. LONG LIVE STEALTH!
Proud Knight of the Silver Legion, Cannith: Saekee (main) and some others typically parked at some level to help guildies and other players

I'll also add in that if you're considering going ranged, the debate between "splashed" (i.e. 6 levels of monk plus whatever else) vs pure is pretty hot... it just depends on what you want to build around.
