    Default Henshin mystic build

    Greetings everybody,

    After long time I am at task complete my monk past life so its great opportunity for experimenting.
    Many people have many ideas how they could make their monk. My idea is to specialise on ki and special attacks and that following with using quarterstaff.

    Why to choose Henshin mystic tree?
    Because there is large amount of melee power.

    Why go with quarterstaff?
    Because quarterstaff demage was boosted and it pasively regenerate Ki on hit.
    If I would have enough Ki without this I should try think about using wraps and thouse choices made me change build a lot.


    Does it worth splash this build?
    Well I am in stage of researching. Its sad especialy for noobies that for tham there are rdy several traps. So I rly cant say.
    Loosing trier 5 core is -10 melee power.
    Loosing core cap is more pain: -25 melee power, -1ki regen, -4wis, -10 concentration.

    Thouse looses i dont like but as I sad I dont have enough informations to decide if there is any good tradeoff.


    About stats:
    For THF I need 17 str. I can choose go with Str or Dex as hit/dmg stat. For Str it would be great in epic and LD epic destiny for +1 crit profile.
    For Dex I could use grandmaster additional dex points. But I dont think I would spent much points on stats on epic destinies.
    And Ki stuff is more suited in grandmaster tree.


    So I would focus this build for hit/dmg on dex. Second important stat i see wis. Than followed with con and that prereq. str for feats.


    Enhancements:

    Ki regen enhacements:
    Hensin trier2 : Contempation 3 (+1 ki passive)
    Ninja Spy trier1: Stealthy 3 (+1 ki passive)
    Hensin core 3: Sounding Staff (+2Ki/hit)
    Hensin core 6: Serenity (+1 ki passive)

    Dex to hit, dex to dmg:
    Ninja Spy core 1: Basic Ninja training
    Ninja Spy core 2: Advanced ninja training



    Choose dark path or light?
    Maybe light monk for neg lvl. debuff.




    About feats:
    Two Handed Fighting (str 15)
    Improved Two Handed Fighting
    Greater Two Handed Fighting
    Improved Critical: Bludgeoning Weapons
    Overwhelming Critical
    Power Attack (Cleave,Great Cleave)
    Maybe dodge, mobility
    Maybe Stunning Blow for heroic levels



    About gear:
    Weapons:
    Chieftain Spear
    Elemental Bloom
    Epic Bone Crusher


    I will update this when I am more far with planning and testing some rolls.

    Well after some iconic toon test roll I have to say that for now I am done with this kind of build.
    It is lot of problem with this build.
    a) lack of defence
    b) rely on different stat : str and needing wis too (seen saves on lots of my ki attacks)
    c) rely on different feat line: thf
    d) weaker stunning abilities : stunning blow (and here we go again str)

    So conclusion for stuff fighting toon is much better rogue (have also quicker attacks) and Ki attack seems just cosmetic.
    On the ather hand it seems there is no problem gain enough ki due ki on hit. Maybe my problem was caused by undergearing toon..

    Anyway I probably rather roll wolf build or moncher build that are more quick and more viable or if monk than shintao and TWF + dex line..
