I guess it was too much to ask for records from the most OP build in the game. The number 1 build on the "Nerf List". Warlock and Warlock Online they say...

Someone please correct me and post me a standing record of a warlock (20 pure) of a quest/raid. Speedrun! If it's as OP as you ppl say it is, I'm sure it won't be an issue to find those records. Then we can compare with other builds. GO GO ! New Challenge!

Warlock can't speed run, I don't belive you.

Those solo run were only taken just to compare the difference in power between warlock and some other classes.
If you group with warlocks, you're ddo experience is even worst as you find them at lest 2 or 4 in every group.
In raid party you can find even 6-8 of them sometimes.

You don't compare solo runs to judge group performance.

Show me these 4-6 man Warlock runs (they are so common in your opinion, it should be easy to do) and then let the rest of us try to beat 4-6 Warlock runs in time.

This would actually prove a point, regardless of the result.

The metric needs to be Warlock better than everyone else, not someones idea of what builds are OK to include and not include.

The metric should also include more than Slavers, but I'll put that one on hold for now (stating so as not to move goal posts later).

ToEE is one of the worst examples you could chose for a speedrun comparision.
Speedrunning ToEE part 2 is 95% RNG. Build hardly matters and warlock is not ideal, while we're at it.
1. Get as many elemental altars as possible (up to 4 possible) on the shortest route.
2. Have some luck finding the elemental gem in the first spot you check (ideally the shortest one).

An ideal build would have sprint boost, double wings and MM/CM.
A single altar adds around 5000 damage per missile (5 for MM, 10 for CM), which makes actual builds relatively unimportant for that matter.

I said it is a luck based quest and I am well aware of it I still think the end fight is a very cool fight and would love to see more build comparisons.

A whole part of speedruns has always been RNG. See: people fishing for Joy of the queen on their Shiradi builds. So, as fishing for Joy was/is accepted, I don't see why this shouldn't.

(Also a part why I think speedruns are bad, but <- this is my personal opinion )

And that's the point. You make it yourself. Some toons are more powerful than others. That's why when someone has limited playtime using the op builds is so much better. Because it is more efficient, because in group play it is simply nicer. The fact that you state it yourself kinda makes it pointless for me to reiterate.

So bottom line, I agree with you. And you make the point I want to make when you comment on why you use the builds you are playing.

I see that imbalance as a problem.

So removing those "better" options for those who have limited time is your solution?

Nope, the best solution for those too casual or too unskilled is they play hard normal or casual , this is why we have 4 difficulties. Giving every one an easy button autowin toon to run the max difficulty even if you are not suit for it is the worse that could have happened. That's 1 of the reasons no one run those difficulties anymore.
