How to share? can I share

Is it possible to share a quest from an expansion to someone who does n't have it? May be using the wrong term perhaps I have both paid expansions and I asked an old friend to join me on a particular quest. He said he doesn't have that expansion, he can't even get into the storm horns wildnerness area. short of buying him the upgrade can he join me for a quest or two?

There is such a thing as a Guest Pass (from the DDO store), that allows a player that doesn't own a particular pack to run that content for a certain period of time.
The guest pass has to be bought by a VIP or someone who already owns the pack and then cast on the character that is being gifted like a spell.

I don't think you can buy guest passes for the expansion quests.

This appears to be true, sadly. The Wiki has a list available guest passes, and the contents of the two expansions are not included,
which is unfortunate in your specific case, as Shadowfell contains the Storm Horns area:

I *think* you could buy the expansion on the *external* market and send your friend the key if you were really feeling generous...

...but be aware that there have been some very significant sales on the expansions over the years.
