    Default Issue with DDO

Why i don't play ddo anymore? because it has gone further and further away from dnd.. at this point it become something hilarious.

for example when i play traditional DND, i worry that my d4 wizard will die easily, but not in ddo.. the base class HD is pale and meaningless comparing to the insane power grind of stats tome, PL and equipment. A wizard with over 1k health is not something uncommon. As we all know the difference between a d4 class and a d12 class is equal to (d12-d4)*20=160. 160 health doesn't really make much different in the end, if any at all..

Another issue is enemy save. Normally any game, table top or pc/console. When a character learn a ability he/she will make use of it. but this isn't true in DDO, enemy save have been boost so drastically that any ability or spell will be useless even on normal difficulty beyond first few level. Because you will almost never land any spell. (unless enemy roll a 1, which is 1/20 chance)

nowadays everyone zerg.. but why do people zerg? because they no longer play the game for fun, they play the game for grind!! either exp, crafting material or equipment. and this is all because this game require so much grind to actually play anything with a DC check.(well almost, provide a few minor exception)

p.s. another issue would be their terrible business model.. which divide the entire game into many small pieces and sale them individually. it is extremely hard to play some of the unpopular pack because most people don't have them... and new pack tend to run out of it's popularity pretty quickly.
I hate how thing were mistranslated in this game.. but this is also the only one...

Ddo stops being dnd the moment you are handed a flaming weapn after the very first starter quest. And if a magic using character, it stops being dnd at character creation. Spell points is not dnd.

Heck, dnd hasn't been dnd since the mid 90s. Or whenever it was that they came out with that mutant bastard child called 3rd edition.

I completely agree with you! I too don't play that much anymore I starting to regret spending money on this game. I also agree with you on the save issue, it is way too high it is ridiculous!

DDO stop being DDO when people cry for balance and the ability to solo hardest content on any classes without needing for a party.

So here's an idea - concentrate on playing character levels 1-10. And stay away from ship buffs.

At low level, the insane over-power is far less noticeable.

Beyond that it gets pretty silly.

Reaper is a return to this from what I am seeing so far on Lamannia - your self heals are DRASTICALLY reduced, and you only benefit from your healing amp fully when someone ELSE heals you. In essence, it WILL take a team to run Reaper difficulty (even at one skull), because this massive decrease in your healing applies to all incoming energy types that would heal you.
