    Question Shot on the Run

"Shot on the Run negates the penalty to attack rolls associated with moving while firing all types of ranged weapons and throwing weapons and gives +3 ranged power." I am probably missing something obvious somewhere but I did a search and could not find the answer. What exactly is the penalty to moving whilst firing?

    Cheers

-4 to hit for all movement except rotating.

OK that paints a clearer picture for the feat. I thank you.

That feat is usually not worth it in any case it has 3 prerequisite feats to get it, witch is extremely harsh. Especially when all it really gives is +4 to hit (attack means to hit in this case), and +3 ranged power, giving you less than 1 melee power per feat slot (or 1 if you discount point blank shot, as its actually ok feat, and you need it for other prerequisites.)

I took it one life mainly for the ranged power. You are unlikely to miss at higher levels anyway so the penalty negation isn't much of a factor. In the long run the three ranged power isn't much either; there are better feat choices in my opinion.
What do you mean a -6 armor class is no good anymore?

Baldric, Mulray, Tirimon, Clant, Melkazar, Dorakeen, Blastium
If one of them falls off a cliff, it ain't their fault.

I mainly look at taking it for the dodge. The feat is a better version weapon focus if you ignore the feat tax, but that means you need to have to use the previous feats to their fullest (need dodge/mobility) and have 3 feats to spare on such things. So… I pretty much only consider it for ranged fighters, other than that there’s better options.

This is not true anymore. People miss (well get a grazing hit) all the time at the higher levels now. But +4 to hit isn't worth as much anymore since they changed the to-hit formulas, so it's still not much of a feat.

It is like going to a museum and bragging about how fast you made it through. Or bragging about how fast you finished a good steak.
