    Default Racial enhancement-based character

If you were going to make a character that mostly relied on racial enhancements (I know. Bad idea. Don't do it. But what if?), what race would you choose? And what class would you choose for it?

If I were going to, I'd do either Elf or Half-Elf because of the access to Arcane Archer. The Half-Elf dilettante feats are pretty attractive, too.

As for class, I don't know. Fighter or ranger, probably. Ranger has all the related feats as freebies, and you could customize the fighter a lot with its feats.

    Any thoughts?

If you're going racial AA, you're going to want to match it with a class which hasn't been buffed yet, IMO, so you don't feel bad about giving up its capstone. Or alternatively, some MCed option which makes taking AA capstone seem like a good idea.

Bardchers, rogue-based AA, and druid AA are all options. There's also some cleric-based AAs floating around.

I would argue that elf AA is just unlocking a class tree, not really doing a build using only racial enhancements. A dwarf tywa build is very racial focused. A halfling thrower could be.

About the most racial-enhancement-intensive character I have is a Human paladin 15/monk 3/fighter 2 based on the old Solar/Divine Phoenix archetype. Since insane healing amp was its raison d'etre, you wanted a lot of points in Human to grab all that juicy amp.

The Racial Trees that I feel could support a build - Not saying they don't need tweaks

Morninglord - While not the best weapons in game has a whole line that works with Weapon Damage for Morningstars, Maces and Hammers, Access to AA Tree and Dexterity to Damage for these weapons. Additionally, Blessing of Amaunator which can give 3x Aid, Spell Resistance, Deathward (Mass) per rest that works of Character level to determine caster level.

Dwarf - Axes, Picks & Hammers for weapon damage as well as throw your weight for using Constitution. But Iron Stomach 2 ranks sure makes a stack of cure light wounds very cost effective for poison/disease

Bladeforge - Self Healing, damage reduction and improvement of Power Attack. Also, Weapon Attachment

    Deep Gnome - Illusion goodness

Humans/PDK have the nice action boosts, healing amp, Greater Heroism, and a human adaptability for some extra stat points.
Bladeforged have fort, Con, reconstruct, tactics, PRR, Communion of Handling, Weapon Attachment, and power of the forge.
Elf is nice, but I don't like half elf - dilly costs are too high for the benefits.

Drow is one of the worst, cost-wise. AP-to-benefit cost is low.

Probably a gnome/deep gnome artificer for me, most of the APs in racial & harper trees
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was, now what's it is weird and scary to me.

I considered for my current life making my character a 'true' arcane archer. Elf or Sun Elf wizard or sorcerer with the Elf arcane archer tree. Probably Elf Wizard. 14 into harper for int to hit and damage, a bit into arcane warrior of all things, for the force spell power, all the rest into elf and arcane archer. Only downside to doing things that way is that all the arcane archer saves are wis based. Well. That and the fact that for feats you're going to be using up the vast majority of your feats on the archery stuff, rather than metamagics, spell focus and penetration and all.
