    Question Spell Power vs Spell Lore

    In the new (U32) crafting system, I can have the following choices. Which would be better, and why?

    NOTE: I run as a Art(1)/Loc(9)/xxxx(10), with GOO and Utterdark.

    Default The Rest of my Equipment

    I'm a casual player and like to remain in Heroic (elite). I like my TR framework and I love playing my Art(1)/Loc(9)/xxxx(10) toon. What I would like to do now is work on fine-tuning my equipment. I prefer crafted to named, so here is what I came up with.

    I wouldn't able to you which is better without knowing your existing spellpower and crit chance.

    To determine whether or not to go with Insightful Spell Power or Crit chance, you'll have to do some simple math.

    average_damage * SP_mod * ( 1 - crit_chance )
    +
    average_damage * SP_mod * crit_mod * crit_chance
    =
    total_average_damage

    You don't actually need average damage, just leave that as X. Remember your Metamagic SP and the "base" 100 SP.

    Generally, in heroics:
    - If it's a SLA where you can apply metamagics for free, you get enough spell power from metas, get LORE
    - If it's a spell which you are going to cast without max/emp, get spell power first
