Default Is this game still dead?

I've been away for awhile. Last time I was active in this game, it was almost impossible to find any sort of group except maybe the latest or highest level Epic stuff. I had a hard time getting a Shroud group to 8 players, for ****'s sake, much less something less-run like Epic Chronoscope. I could sit for hours without a single person hitting a LFM for the Cannith raids. Eventually, it got to a point where you couldn't even get a Thunderholme group together. You had to solo pretty much all of Heroic, except a few choice quests like the Kundarak flaggers.

Is anything better now? Are there groups now, or is this game still deader than disco?

    Yeah we are all dead...
Nobody posting or questing or anything
In fact everyone here is a figment of your imagination...
The others chose me to break it to you rather than all the voices coming at you at once

The game is not dead from my persepective, but I tend to focus on the newest content and TR- and TRs I usually just solo zerg or run with real life friends.

There is more interest in the newer stuff than anything else. I've seen groups running the old raids but typically they will be shortman groups of 3-5 and that is more than enough for anything below legendary. The legendary and thunderforged raids will fill. Deathwyrm usually fills while people are completing the mirrors. There are many jobs in the end fight but 6 or so can easily complete that.

There are numerous vox, teamspeak and other chat channels for like-minded people you can connect with. I am in several of those but prefer in-game chat so don't usually join.

Sarlona is a much more casual server than some of the others. Most of the Legendary raiding is LH - there isn't much LE raiding. Thunderforged, MOD and DOJ are usually run on EH. Everything below that is almost always run LE and usually shortmanned or even solo'd.
