Default AAs......show me the curved wood in your hand

Getting ready to tr into my first ranger. What bows are you guys using for epic levels? Loosely following this build : https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...layer-Friendly

Was thinking maybe a T2 thunderforged , touch of flames/??....either paralyzing fear, dragons edge maybe? (Realistically I might never have enough ings for t3)

    Thoughts, suggestions?

I have a variety of bows. But I will also switch based on situation.

    Epic Bow of the Elements
Fully upgraded Alchemical - +2 Alchemical Wisdom plus Chance of Freeze
Epic Bow of the Silver Flame - Undead Weakening <- Used right it increases party DPS
    Pinion - Fully Upgraded
T2 Thunderforge - getting closer for T3 only 10ish more
    Legendary Shroud Long Bow

Also I did use Eveningstar's Cormerian Level 20 and Level 24 versions when I didn't have anything better.

    I don't have a Sapphire Sting.

1-20 : melee, no point in archery
20 : Epic Thornlord with 90 Devo augment
    24 : Pinion with 114 Devo
    28 : Tier 3 TF, 1st Degree burns/Dragon's Edge/Mortal Fear. Wish I have made Draconic Reinvigoration.

And as Enoach said, Bow of the Silver Flame ( just heroic version is fine ) to hit Abbot, Truthful One or Aurgloroasa once before Furyshot for that sweet fort reduction. Those are old raids now so, meh.

Shahang (hjealme), Wipekin (kotc), Nezhat (barbie) Ghallanda/Devourer

If you only care about DPS:
    20-22 Unwavering Ardency
    23-25 Pinion
    26-30 Epic Sapphire Sting

LGS and TF are both great for utility though and are probably better during fury shots (since crit range doesn't matter there).

For TF go Touch of Flames + Dragon's Edge.
Thelanis - Ethforged - Etherar - Fjirty --- Mitis Mors
    Ghallanda - Ethrayne - Ethryne --- Omnipresence

TF with acid power and paralyzing...reason being there are a lot of fire immunities, and undead with negative immunities. Then at 30 I choose Earth Scion and switch to Lightning imbues so then I just have to wear gear to boost lightning/force spell power to have huge damage in both elements.

The paralyzing is no save I believe.

Good for any Arcane bow users outside Rangers as well, so has versatility.

    http://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Epic_Sapphire_Sting

the epic acid elemental longbow from the cannith challenges and thornlord ( though hard to get and only good for a few lvl's )

and good ol pinion r my top bows for lvling and i still use sapphire sting at cap , the destruction and crit range is great for LE.
Most ppl call me Az. Captains crew on G-land.
