So on this note are we supposed to just make new items to get the scaling affects or can our existing items be upgraded to reflect the changes to current items?

Yes, only new Cannith Challenge items will get the new effects. Old items cannot be upgraded.

That is really surprising; the devs always have a quick and easy upgrade path for this kind of stuff. I'd be curious to know if there's a reason behind this. Seems like it should be no more difficult than, for example, the Cove item upgrade process from days of old:
input( old Tier3 item + some inconsequential mats ) --> output( new Tier3 item )

Even if it wipes Stone of Change upgrades and things of that nature and/or only worked on Tier3 items, I would think people would still want some kind of trade-in recipe for the new version.

So if you can't upgrade them, can we disjunct them and craft on it using the new system? If not, that's pure item depreciation...which could be what you're going for I guess, but that seems odd...unless you're trying to push people to re-run the Challenge content.

Loots/banes for Magical Beasts still say "Magical Beats" -- and the beat goes on...

The reason is we would have had to create several hundred conversion recipes, and it was time and cost-prohibitive.

"Diversion" is still appearing on Ranged Weapons. I was hopeful that the New Loot changes would remove those type errors.

As reminder, "Diversion" states: "+X Enhancement bonus to Decreased threat generated from melee damage."

If Diversion does actually work for Ranged Damage also, then the item's description needs to be edited to reflect "...melee and ranged damage."

If Diversion will never ever work for Ranged weapons, then we need that effect/suffix permanently removed from the loot tables for Ranged Weapons.

I have not confirmed if Incite Suffix also appears on Ranged Weapons, but if it still does, that is a parallel issue.

Gee, if only there were some place for you guys to announce that you were going to not do conversion recipes. It would have been a lot easier than having hundreds of ignored posts asking the same **** question.

At the very least, it would have been an opportunity to allow the community to help turn “several hundred conversion recipes” into “several conversion recipes”. ex. You could have just done recipes to turn old gear into a random collection of cannith challenge ingredients. Since you guys finally got around to doing the right thing, and keeping all the gear BtA, I only need 1 of each item on my account, not one for each character. And, it's not like your boss isn't looking for ways to eliminate BtC storage space.

Hell, for the epic versions, 99% of the work is already done. If you guys look at the alter of epic rituals you’ll see that for the low, low cost of 50 syberis dragonshard fragments, you can convert the epic challenge gear. Just point the old recipe to the new versions of the items and call it a day.

Things worthy of Standing Stone going EXTREME PREJUDICE™ on.:
    • Epic and Legendary Mysterious ring upgrades, please.
    • Change the stack size of filigree in the shared bank to 50. The 5 stack makes the shared bank worthless for storing filigree in a human usable manner.
    • Fixing why I don't connect to the chat server for 5 minutes when I log into a game world.
    • Fixing the wonky Lightning Sphere and Tactical Det firing by converting them to use alchemist spell arcing.
    • Redoing the drop rates of tomes in generic and raid loot tables.

I kinda love this typo. Especially on my bard. Cracks me up every time I see it.
