Default After windows 10 updates, frame rate now under3

I have an older system put it has run ddo fine since 2011. Did the free windows 10 upgrade back in June and it still plugs right along, even a little better than the 8,1 it replaced.

However, last week KB 3176936, KB 3176938, and KB 3189031 were installed. Now ddo is running 2.7 to 2.9 fps. That's 2 point 7 to 2 point 9 fps. I now have a slideshow instead of a game.

Was told to see if happy cloud was running. No happy cloud.
Was told to rename ddo folder to OLDddo folder. Still a slideshow.
Did a clean boot of windows. Still a slideshow.

Does anyone know what could be in those KB updates that could be cutting my frame rate? I haven't uninstalled the updates because my wife has to use this computer for her work sometimes.

    Inspiron 530
    Windows 10 pro
    2 duo E7400 @ 2.8 ghz each
    3 gb ram
    Intel G33/G31 express chipset

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I am not all sure why, but the first thing that comes to my mind is graphic card. if you have multiple cards on your machine, or rather an onboard chip and a proper card, try making sure that DDo uses the better one. If it's Nvidia, you can do that in the Nvidia control panel, most systems have a shortcut at the bottom right to asign graphic processor...

It's a pretty random idea, but hey, I might be lucky

Try a quick google of the updates to see what areas they affect - could be video card / chipset updates etc that have no security concerm - so may be considered safe to remove.

Any other new things on your pc? Drivers/apps etc?

    Any other changes to pc?

Is any other game affected? Could be that something is throttling the pc - how clean is the cpu fan / heatsink?

    Good luck man

Update your on board video driver to the newest version and see if it helps and by this I mean not through Windows Update but get it from Intel or Snappy Driver Installer (I use this a lot).
