Default Ranger noob question - improved weapon finesse

Just wanted to make sure I was reading this right, getting ready to htr into a ranger on a toon.

If you have the Tempest enhancment, and the Improved weapon Finesse enhancement, you DO NOT need the weapon finesse feat.
Those 2 enhancements will allow you to use Dex to hit and damage with bows, and any light melee weapons when dual wielding.

    Correct?

Correct. I've run an archer, thrower, and dual-wielder (scimitars) to cap using that enhancement and got dex to damage on all.

Unless you want to use rapiers, which are Finesseable but not light weapons; so for them you would need Finesse feat + Imp Weap Finesse enhancement to get DEX to-hit & dmg. Alternatively, if you're an elf you can take Finesse feat + Aerenal Grace to get DEX to-hit & dmg w/rapiers.

Cool. Thanks guys. Just wanted to make sure. Probably dual scim wielding when meleeing, so no rapier.

I don't think Scimitar is considered a light weapon...so you better do some more research. I don't think it is finesable.

    OOPs...Nevermind...it will work.
