I'm pretty excited about our new lives. I really enjoyed playing the pally on Monday. It was really nice to meet Aewanii & Shartyrr. I hope you guys enjoy our Monday night groups.

Looks like we got underway in Jan 2014 for the first lives, so around 2 1/2 years - we take it easy

As for TOEE on a weekend - yeah, I know it might not happen, given the difficulty of coordination schedules for a quest pretty much guaranteed to take 3+ hours, but if others are interested in giving it a try, I generally have a pretty flexible schedule on Saturdays, not really available on Sundays (and yes, I know it's a level 7 quest, so we should have at least a few weeks, probably more than a month, before we need to make any decision)

Probably 3-4 months if we wait until we are level 9. I've farmed it with an epic toon so I know the fast way through it but I'd love to explore the whole thing with a group if that's what you have in mind.

One of the reasons it took so long was due to our small group size; if we had 2 people take the day off, we generally didn't play that day. With a larger group, we should be able to go through content faster, assuming that the people who miss days make up the lost experience by doing content solo.

We could also theoretically do Thursdays as well if we feel we need to make up lost time; we've done that once or twice, or at least decided it was a viable option.

When asked about her past, Shartyrr has very little to say. From the little she speaks of it, it can be gleaned that she is an orphan. She also seems to harbor an intense dislike for Flaming Fist mercenaries, as well as an obvious disrespect for men in general. She seems to have something to prove, and likely her childhood was not of storybook quality.

Further questioning reveals that her father abandoned Shartyrr and her mother. Shartyrr's mother took her and joined a bang of gypsies. Life was pretty tame until the gypsies were attacked by a group of mercenaries killing everyone except Shartyrr who happened to be playing in the woods away from the camp. This is the root of her dislike of the Flaming Fist mercenaries and men in general.

Upon her arrival in Korthos, she met Tirana who convinced her to join the group in spite of the men to escape Korthos and be able to seek revenge on the mercenaries.

Metamorphion, she overheard your comments about the female body and demands that you always walk in front of her and do not cast your eyes at her direction or you will have an arrow in each eye.

    Hehe that's good love it.

IC: Don't worry Shartyrr we shall keep an eye on the bard and even tho they have a reputation I doubt he would have been accepted into the Disciples of Rain if he didn't have good intentions and a pure(ish) attitude. I doubt Tirana would let him get away with any roguish behavior as well.

Hey I'm getting over some food poisoning so I will not make it this week. Let me know what you run and I can catch up!

Ouch, that's gonna make it tough considering that you're the trapper. I was thinking of running some general Harbor until we got to level 4, then moving on to WW. Might just run random level 2-3 quests to make it easy for you to catch up.

For reference, we did every level 2 quest that gives Coin Lords favor in the Harbor and Marketplace on elite (except the solo quests). Namely, we did Kobold's New Ringleader, Recovering the Lost Tome, Garrison's Missing Pack, Missing in Action, and the Sunken Sewer.

I had a lot of fun last night, failing and having to rely on each other for buffs to be able to disable is the type of playing I fondly remember from years ago when I first started. I got some screenshots at the end of the night I'll try to post later

Glad to hear you had fun Scipio; that was one of the tougher quests out there for that level range.

Unfortunately, I have an exam for Mycology this week, as well as a Calculus exam next week that I'm still rather behind on, so I'll need to step out this week. I was planning on have us run Sharn Syndicate next; since they are pretty quick and easy, me missing out on them this week shouldn't interrupt our flow too much.

Yeah, that last part of STK at level 4 was quite a challenge That's the sort of thing MMO memories are made of

Sorry you couldn't make it this week, Meta. We got started on Sharn Syndicate, but decided to wait of Bookbinder Rescue, since that one can be tough to solo on elite. Hopefully we can do it all together next time

Completed Sharn last night after Zircon the dirty warforged framed me - that's the last time this rogue is getting one pulled over him!

Shartyrr will not make it on Monday, October 31st. It may or may not have to do with all the undead, since they do not bleed.

First of all- I apologize for missing last week, I got caught up in a guild run on Ghallandra.

Second - we had daylight savings this weekend so now we will be meeting an hour earlier (correct me if I'm wrong and it's actually an hour later...)

Third - I will be gone in January overseas and will be unable to play from December 26-January 23 - I'll be back for January 30th. I don't want to leave you hanging and if you want to find a replacement for me I understand - 5 sessions is a lot to miss

Aewanii will be busy at the Ruins of Threnal overseeing the excavations there during that time period

Hi guys, Sorry I have a virus on my computer and had to reinstall everything which is not going very smoothly. I'll try to get on in time to play tonight but am not sure I'll be able to.

Sorry to hear about that, hope things get working more smoothly soon.

Here's an update for those who may have missed stuff the last few weeks:

A few weeks ago, the Disciples successfully foiled the Sharn Syndicate's plot to establish a foothold in Stormreach. The Coin Lords expressed their thanks, but I suspect we will need to keep the pressure on them to hold up their end on promises to look into the conditions for the population as a whole. Perhaps Aewanii can meet with them before heading out on his research project (OOC - completed Sharn Syndicate chain).

More recently, the Disciples have begun lending assistance to various residents of Three Barrel Cove, in an effort to improve relations with mercantile interests there (OOC - started on the 3BC saga, completed Irestone Inlet, Two-toed Tobias & Prove Your Worth, leveled to 6).

Now that we're up to 6th level, I wanted to let you all know about a project I've been working on - an elf cleric on a second account to have available for emergency rezzing (needed to get her to 6th level first for Undying Call). My thought is that I can bring it in to prevent quest failure when we have party wipes; not proposing to 2-box on a regular basis or anything like that. If you guys don't like the idea, no harm done, I'll just leave her out of the group.

If you think you might like to try it, though, here's a brief bio:

Dalandra is a young cleric of the Undying Court from Aerenal. She has spent her career to date in service to the deathless in Shae Mordai, but has recently accepted a mission from one of the Undying Councilors to journey to Xen'drik to aid one of his descendants, Aewanii. She didn't exactly want the mission, but her entire family had been out of favor politically since that unfortunate decision to side with House Vol. They escaped annihilation along with their allies, but their political fortunes never recovered. So it was, that despite her obvious talents and sincere devotion, Dalandra always seemed to be passed over for promotion or advancement. In fact, until now, she'd never even been offered an assignment more interesting or challenging than dusting the cobwebs from the Council chambers. So it was that, despite being less than enthusiastic to be sent off to babysit some half-elf, she actually volunteered for the mission to Xen'drik. At least she'd be getting the opportunity to test her abilities there.

Per Meta's request - we did Ghost of a Chance & Guard Duty on 11/21. Tirana's now about halfway through level 6. If I understood the discussion correctly, we're moving to Thursdays for the moment (or possibly permanently? wasn't sure what the long-term plan was), and next meeting is scheduled for 12/1. If that sounds right, see you all then. If not, post any corrections

I'm going to have to miss the next 3 weeks I think. I'm getting stuck finishing that night job and they have added to it. It's scheduled 3 weeks. That's the downside. The upside is that I have almost a month's banked hours and will be due a nice holiday after that so I should be able to catch up on some DDO time then.

Hey guys, sorry for the late notice, but I don't think I'm going to be able to play tonight. Just really not feeling well. Hopefully see you all next week.
