Default weight problem with new collectables

So I ran a Wlk, lvl 21 through parts one and two, normal elite. Ransacked every chest, busted every breakable, etc.

By the middle of part two, my toon with only a 12 strength was overburdened. I thought it was the "regular" loot, but I only had 2 suits of armor, which the stats show was not that heavy.

No, the weight problem was the pieces of chain. I did not look exactly how many I had collected-- 3-5 per chest? 6-7 chests? 30? A wild-888 guess.

But the issue seems to be they are too heavy, for a collectable.

Elsewhere I see that you need 400 of these?

If that's true--there is no way in the game, a single character could walk, once they put all 400 pieces into their backpack-- even with a 20-25 strength!

Yes-- I finished the run by quickly buying a strength tome-- (L-TP is free, after all) but this is a bug, IMO.

It's time to remove weight on collectables. All of them. Otherwise it's just going to make the new crafting very problematic.

I would... but ... checking the "known issues log"? All of the bugs I've ever submitted in the past 5 years of play? Have been ignored. Bugs still there.... and I'm not the only one.

    Is there really a point?

On the other paw? I *have* seen issues discussed in these very forums, which *have* been addressed, and fixed in some cases, or at least, a viable work-around.

Really? Have you *ever* reported a bug, and then, seen it repaired in the next update, or even ever?

I have seen discussion of issue(s) in the forum, and *those* get fixed. Well, 1 in 10 get fixed... maybe... unless there's a work-around.

Look at the ever-growing list of "Known Issues" again. Some of those seriously break parts of the game, in ways that pretty much means that part simply isn't played or used anymore.

Not counting any number of ladder bug reports? Still yes. I mean, almost never in the 'next' update, I can't say I've ever reported anything that's got fixed SoonTM, but eventually? Yeah.

Almost all of the bugs I've reported (that weren't me just being more derpy than usual) have been fixed. Heck, there are THREE things that I was complaining about fixed in the most recent Release Notes. :P

Remove weight from the Green Bag too while you're at it! With the amount of ingredients it's beyond dumb imho.

Thank you for that, then-- the scuttlebut I had been seeing was "why bother".

I'd turn in a bug report, but as you can see, the feedback on the *forums* is quite good.

Which is why I posted it.

Thanks for the feedback-- I've reported bugs in the past, several years back, only to see them constantly ignored.

The worst, is the Arificer's iron defender. After about half an hour? (or so) He simply quits doing any damage. Same for the wolf pet for a Druid.

This has been the case since I started, back in 2012. Still not fixed.

Another horrific bug, for soloists like me, is that gold-rogue hires do not untrap or unlock about 90% of the time, on the first "Do This" clicky.

It becomes a click-fest trying (in vain) to get them to do what you hired them to do.

Part of the problem, (also bug-reported back in 2012) is that their range is too short, and their attention span-- even shorter. So unless you are on top of the item in question? They simply won't do it-- they will run towards the item-- then? Stop and return, with the "out of reach" message popping up.

So. I pretty much quit bug-reporting after that failure. How many updates since 2012?

I went to write up a long explanation to try and convince you that submitting bug reports through the official form is incredibly helpful to us regardless of what it may look like from the player facing side before stopping to realize I had already done so a while ago here.

As to the concern that bug reports do not result in resolution of the issue reported: I've tried to sort through the release notes just from this last update cycle and pull a few examples of things that, to my knowledge, came to our attention originally because of player submitted bug reports:

    Update 31 Patch 4
    - The Arcanotechnician's Automated Repairs now works more reliably.

    Update 31 Patch 2
    - Fixed the Deep Gnome past life to properly give Illusion DC instead of Enchantment DC.

    Update 31 Hotfix
    - Good Intentions: Large animated objects are no longer healed by fire.
    - Good Intentions: Fixed a space where characters could escape their reality thanks to some boxes.
    - Search and Rescue: Corrected Dungeon Master text timing in the final fight.
    - Search and Rescue: Corrected an issue that could cause the music to stop playing.

    Update 31
    - Fixed an issue with the DC of Vanguard's Shield Charge.
    - Kensai: Haste Boost's third tier no longer erroneously lists its duration as 30 seconds, and now states its proper 20 seconds.

Now, obviously, not every issue submitted via a bug report will be resolved. I would be doing a disservice to you to claim that that was the case. They are, however, our best and primary source for filtering information about issues players are encountering so that we can determine what (if anything) can be done, by which team member, in what timeframe. This is atleast three times as true for issues encountered on Lammania.

I've been putting a concerted effort in recently to be more active on the forums and engaging people here about issues they've encountered, however, this is not nearly as efficient a method of tracking down bugs as browsing through our player bug report queue. The forums are a fine place to discuss issues you are having and to try and see if other players have encountered the same thing and I'll be here to try and sort through this deluge of information as often as I can be. Please know, however, that while the forums provide players a possibility of direct engagement on an issue a bug report using the official form is still more helpful to us in the constant process of tracking down and resolving bugs.

I would comment on the original purpose of this thread but Cordovan already beat me to it.
