Default DDO fails after server selection

    Hi all.

I have 2 other computers running the game that are working fine. I'm trying to get a third up and running. This one is an older machine, 3GB memory and an Athlon 4450e 2.3ghz processor and Vista. No dedicated video. Is this now to low to run the game? (I've not selected high res since i assumed that would be taxing on this older machine.)

So far I have turned off Bitdefender completely and also windows firewall. (Normally just run bitdefender.) This did not help.

I've run as an admisitrator as well and from an administrator user.

Bitdefender also has rules for dndclient and turbinelauncher to be allowed.

I'm not sure where else to look.

    Thanks.

Do you get any error messages or anything like that? Also check the log file and post the contents from here.

Where am i looking for the log file?

I checked under documents and only found the user config. I also looked briefly in the progam files, but didn't see anything obvious.

My apologies I forgot all about this, the file you need is located in the installation directory for the game and is called dndclient.log

Default Try resetting the game display settings.

I just had the same issue this week, but I don't know if my fix will work for you. If you've copied your game files and settings from a newer computer to your older one, it might be the same issue.

I rolled back my OS from Win 10 to Win 8.1. The ingame video settings were too high for 8.1 to handle, possibly set to DX11.

To fix it: On the launcher options, repair tab, i checked "reset the game display settings". That did the trick for me.

    Good luck.
