Default RiP Fellowship of the Shrine

Due to some idiot who got the cool idea of renaming guild with almost eight years old name and kicked about 80 percent of accounts from guild Fellowship of the Shrine is no more. So maybe u can expect some new experienced recruits from our ranks.

See u in game under other flag and take care who u name leader as as it seems even the coolest looking guy can turn to most stupid one

Sorry to hear the guild got take down like that. The Emerald Claw is always looking for players - across all levels and player experience. They is almost always an officer. Just hit up an EC player and ask for one.

I sense a little bitterness on the Guild name change...

I'm sorry you feel your guild leader let you down. However, it might be a good time to talk to your guild leader and try and find out why they wanted the change as well as bring some reasons why it should not have changed (Possibly with other officers that have the same opinion as yourself).

Of course this could be a case that they wanted the name for a new guild they are starting but until you ask you won't know.

yep. there s some bitterness as i was leading the guild myself for couple years. And i m sorry to say that but now its quite late to talk to him as most of old vets are kicked out along with me and definitely not the case of keeping the name for new guild. Just to elaborate bit more - the name of guild now is like Whatever and Wenches. One has not to be a kalashtar to figure that our female players felt quite offended by that. And upon warning they could leave because they felt so, our dear guild leader started to kicked out their toons.

Anyway this was not ment as much as rant - more like notice to those who were running with us that there ll be no more FotS runs and thats good time for offering new home to players from our ranks who they might like

If any of your members want to help push up a small guild in Argo, we have an affiliate guild there named "Gygaxians" that can always use more gamers to prod it along.
Although I am only part-time there in Argo, my character there is named: Brynheph

The "Gygaxians" guild was a former family guild, and the entire family quit so the guild fell in my lap. As result, I put out notice to my large guild on Wayfinder that I wanted to find someone willing to take it over, and - I gave away the guild. So, there are many officers there from Your Part Time Guild on Wayfinder that part-time play, but as stated - it is small.
Kyll - Guild leader of Your Part Time Guild on Wayfinder server.
-- Your Part Time Guild has over 750+ Guild Members!

Please don't lambast or exclude from lfm's/raids all those toons with 'wenches' still over their head - we didn't ask for it and need a little time to find a new home!!

    RIP FotS

If you were leading it for several years, why didn't you try to become the official leader?

I'm guessing he was inactive for a month+ and this guy usurped.

its pretty simple - after couple years one becomes quite exhausted especially if i was on like every day couple hours. It happened to me and it happened tguy i passed leadership to. We stayed just officers. With datacenter move and following lagperiod quite lot took break till things settle. Former leader felt that would be fine to pass leadership again as he wanted to take break and it would be bit irresponsible toleft guild without some lead during the period with still lot people lingering around especially as we got quite lot new recruits (We had former experience with leader missing for two yers with no one knowing of his wherebouts and there was no option to usurp leadership when leader is absent at that time). Happens we choosed guy who was active and seemed fine, but turned out to one of worst i ve met. While every leader including me took leadership as service to the guild, this jerk just claims now its HIS own guild.

And as almost all old officers are kicked out now or demoted, theres no way how to solve this.

Whatever - his name is Warbreeze, Runewarz maybe some others - its worth infraction.

plausible in many cases.. but not this one.. they let him be leader and he cleaned house.

That is a fundamental flaw of the guild system where a guild (purchased and created by someone) can be so easily usurped screwing over the original person..
anyone can usurp the guild after a extended afk by the leader.
There is no recognition of favor contribution or years of service or any other reasonable factor..
pickup new guy enough time passes and he takes over demoting and booting everyone, changing the name.. whatever he likes full license to screw everyone else..
and the GM response.. too bad put a bug report in..

I am not a fan of the guild usurp mechanic.. the leader built it and likely paid for it.. its his. period.. don't like it . leave..
    Voluntary handover is fine..

But we do have guild usurping..
There really should have been limitations to guild usurping.. like leadership passing having to be authorized by the two highest active renown holders.

Would like to see the whole guild mechanic changed so that half the renown you brought to the guild goes with you... you earned it, and in many cases gave up loot or other options, or even purchased renown boosters..
current system player is screwed if they leave or are booted from the guild.. they leave with nothing..
Players are the source of the renown at least half should stick with them. half to the guild, half to the player..
want to guild reform.. you take a 50% hit, but now you have 50% to reform a new guild or bring to a new guild..

Especially cases like this.. existing players that were booted from the guild could reform their own guild and not have to restart from scratch after seeing all their years of guild contribution get screwed away by a poor guild renown system.

Could hang on the hope that a sympathetic Dev will create a new guildship for you and restore your levels.. but I doubt they would want to step into that landmine...

They cant do anything i guess. It s quite hard to solve in such case who s right and who s wrong for them, it s more like personnal matter. Only possible thing they can do is to improve the guild system - like Jotmon proposed for example.

I would like to echo the thanks to the guilds who are taking us in (cant name them yet as some alts are still emigrating) - true testimony to the previous FotS etiquette.

Such a shame. I bet they did not think of this level of dishonesty when they thought/designed how guilds were going to work. (When guild means group of friends who'd like to play together.)
I just remembered that I have an alt in a dead level 40 guild on Argo which i would gladly offer to become Your new FotS guild but I am only a member so i can not recruit. If you know a way to make me able to recruit&promote you can have it, last log in was 19 months ago with the leader being off for over two and a half years.

If neither the Leader or Deputy has been on for 2 months then any officer can take over. That might cascade to members if no officer has been on. I did this for our guild recently and was temporary leader until the leadership returned. Mainly because I knew for sure that way it would be returned safely. I was an officer though, but reckon it should hold true for members too. I think the options for it are on the Guild window. Might be worth checking out?

Sounds like someone made out with a lot of long hours and turbine points spent by many to have his own private ship.
