While this current situation can't be fixed, the Guild management system needs an overhaul, along with chat as well. We need:

- Ability to kick and ban/squelch Accounts instead of just a single Character.
- In Chat, ability to squelch entire Accounts, not just a single Character.
- Additional Successor options, ranked/prioritized.

Jotmon's list was also useful, and - this should frankly be something accomplished sooner than later, as it's overdue.

I second this. The way it is now is way too favorable to any kind of harrasment and GMs aren't much help in this matter either. This would make it at least a bit harder for them and hopefully in some cases turn them away.

If neither the Leader or Deputy has been on for 2 months then any officer can take over. That might cascade to members if no officer has been on. I did this for our guild recently and was temporary leader until the leadership returned. Mainly because I knew for sure that way it would be returned safely. I was an officer though, but reckon it should hold true for members too. I think the options for it are on the Guild window. Might be worth checking out?

nope, once there are no active officers, members cant usurp leadership and cant do nothing.

Such a shame. I bet they did not think of this level of dishonesty when they thought/designed how guilds were going to work. (When guild means group of friends who'd like to play together.)
I just remembered that I have an alt in a dead level 40 guild on Argo which i would gladly offer to become Your new FotS guild but I am only a member so i can not recruit. If you know a way to make me able to recruit&promote you can have it, last log in was 19 months ago with the leader being off for over two and a half years.

no worries, i myself have such personal guild of my own from my start before i joined fellowship, so i can offer asylum for undecided. Anyway we had good relations with several fine guilds so i guess our former members will find nice new home without loosing connection with friends.

I'd say if someone is going to hand over a guild and the massive expense that goes into them, especially the ship, I'd make sure I knew them personally and in person.

I guess this is a lesson to make sure you are careful who you hand your guild over to.

It's my pleasure to announce that a special someone named "w.......e" deserves a special place on our guild blacklist. Someone please PM me all names of alts so we can be thorough with this. He had been on our "wasted team slot" warning list already.

Well.
No matter how hard we will make it (usurpation) - there always be d-bags that pretend they are fine till enough power given.
And usurp method need to be simple for all other cases.
Besides officers can do anything on the ship so no need to have every-day-loggin leader tbh (well some time to time to promote/demote officers).

But back to current situation.

I know most of FotS folks already found second home (including alts/mules). The only ones that left in Whatever and Wrenches are 1) Warbreeze's alts, 2) Warbreeze's minions (guys who know the situation but keeps his side) 3) Prolly some casual players or those who somehow don't know yet about what just happened.

I squelched all Warbreeze's alts I know, and decline to party join all members from that guild, linking them here or https://whirlwindtimes.wordpress.com...s-and-wenches/ - if they keep hanging with this guild - I keep declining to play with them.

I suggest to do the same.

And it might have interessting effect. I heard mentioning me in guildchat is not appretiated, so if people talk about my article they must do it behind War-whatevers back
