Sorry for the longer than usual downtime today. The extra time was due to us activating the Risia Ice Games and Midwinter Festival, then doing the various checks necessary to make sure the event is functioning correctly. Most bonuses don't require downtime, but this event does, because if we activate it with players in the world then folks in the Harbor and Eveningstar will find themselves stuck in ice. Yes, we learned this the hard way...

Heads up that we will not be doing our weekly restart tomorrow due to us preparing for a small deployment to fix some Turbine/SSG logos and text (unfortunate, but required, sorry.) We'll have more info on the timing on the deployment after we lock down the final pieces of it.

There will be downtime for a small patch at some point this week. We won't know for sure when that downtime will be for a little while yet. It is possible it occurs tomorrow at the regularly scheduled weekly restarts time but it is also possible that it does not happen until Thursday or Friday. And if the patch does not take place on Wednesday there will be no downtime on Wednesday.
when I try and log in after the down time I am getting an Internal Error contact Costumer supporter. Just letting you know.
I am also getting the same error. Hopefully it will "just work" when the worlds come back online, but if someone official could tell us if any additional steps are required, that would be much appreciated. I don't have DDO on my start menu or anything- I go into the turbine folder and launch turbinelauncher. If the changeover to a new company changes this, and I can't even launch turbinelauncher to get a patch or see an update, then hopefully someone can post instructions here, short of having to reinstall everything.
I know there have been several responses of "Devs get to have lives too", and I totally respect that, but I have to ask whether there is any way to put in an app that automatically stops and restarts the world? Heck, if there is a patch ready, it could stop, load and restart. It usually takes 3-4 hours to bring the worlds back up after an update, it could run at 5, and be done between 8 and 9, and the devs would be in by then to watch on the back end and make sure everything is going smoothly. Just a question.

NOTE: Due to a LOTRO downtime on Wednesday, we're moving the weekly DDO restart until Thursday.

Go the extra step and post a new thread with the break from the schedule. No one read this post of yours in an "old news" thread. I only found it because I went hunting after seeing a "30 minutes until server restart" notice, which is also atypical since I usually see a 60 minute announcement followed by countdown.
Just logged in and saw please log out, 2 mins to go.... man I just let the kids get 30mins of game time also, now mine is wasted!
Still, I see the restarts as important. I did not realize they had moved day (normally I am at work).
So this is just a restart right? Anyone able to guess when the next update will land?
