    Default How longs your DDO?

    So, I was watching this:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_APucTcM44E

They are talking about "ridiculously hard game achievements" One specific one was for Mortal Kombat. Basically the achievement equates to 600 hours of game play x28 characters.

And it got me thinking. If you were to take a first life character, full access all the packs, destinies etc. Play it with no hand outs, no swapping items from alts but you can buy and sell what you like from the Ah, vendors etc.

Using this character, get full completionist (heroic and epic) and full favor.

I know there's a lot of variables (and I'm bound to miss loads so add as you see fit) so lets say, no bonus weekends and no xp pots (no store or daily roll for that matter) a fairly "normal tr grind" I.E very fast in quest but not so far as, bang out 12 lives in a weekend, wee in a bottle and take Redbull intravenously style.

Full guild buffs, assume mostly solo, help when you need it for quests that either cant be done or would just be so slow that no one would try soloing it on EE if they were trying to get through all these lives.

Obviously a competent DDO player who does know what they are aiming for but adding on time for leveling, selling repairs etc...

I'm just curious how it would match up to the 2 odd years of solid game play in Mortal combat.

..... Man... all those death scenes. lol that for two years solid that's bound to end up doing you no good.

I've been working on a Heroic completionist on the cannith server since 2014. I don't use xp potions or Otto boxes. I've been grinding xp with just the 5% ship xp buff and the VoM. I'm only on life #6 atm.

10 years and counting. Maybe I will accomplish before the plug is pulled, but in no way, shape, or form, is my goal to be a completionist.

My goal is to entertain myself in the game. Once it is not entertaining, then I have achieved my goal.

    Hm,
there are 14 classes and 12 destinies. so do 12 iconic lifes and 2 heroic lifes.

8 hours gametime a day, an iconic life is comfortably doable in 3 days running the right quests and without pots.

    336 hours.

And I am certain people can do it even faster. No, I know they can do it faster.

But for me those 336 hours wouldn't be fun at all.

32 Heroic lives, 6 Epic lives and on the 2nd Iconic life on one toon. I do have 3 others who are on their 2 lives but probably won't do much with them to be honest. Aiming for triple everything!

I was going from 1-28 in sixish days without even "really" trying, so I'd say a week. People who really tried could get completionist everything in 3 months, triple everything in 9-10 months.

These numbers are sort of on the safe side. I was never an xp/min grinder. I just ran what I wanted to run. I'd imagine a person who really wanted to go faster could knock a heck of a lot of time off my numbers.

That's great, thanks for the estimates. I'm just going through some ETR's at them moment. Not pushing it too much and I'm enjoying it so, no complaints. After seeing the grind in some other games I just wondered how we compared.

I agree, grinding constantly like that doesn't appeal to me. I like to progress quickly but fair play to gamers like that, it takes some commitment and drive.

How is that even possible. 1-28 in a week? How many hours are assumed per day. I hope you realize that this is clearly not within the grasp of average players (not necessarily average in skill, but rather in the time devoted to the game).

I would say that since people do not just try to optimally run quests all their session, completionist (for a new player) will be unlikely to be achieved in anything under a year. But I suspect that this would be only for people with high tolerance for grinding. I'd say a new player will get to completionist in at least 2 years, given that he/she sticks around and does not attempt to roll alts.

I could do 1-20 in a week back when I played 12-14 hours a day. Now at 1-3 hours per day if I'm lucky...it just takes awhile to do a life

    Default Playing about...

24-30 hours/week yields me an Iconic Life (15-30) in 2-3 Weeks, ETR in 2 weeks, 1-20 Heroic 2 weeks.

That's mixing it up with BB questing, 2xEN dailies, raids and slayers. Gotta keep it fresh

    I also work full-time 7am-4pm 5 days a week and have a RL.

In 6ish years I have used one (1) XP stone on one character and have been F2P for about 4 years.

My main is Heroic Completionist +2 Ranger, +1 Arti, +3 Warlock & on a +1 Fighter PDK life now with 1 BF IPL. With 3xBrace, Colours, Skills, EnergyCrit.

My main alt is 3Cleric,3Wiz,3FVS,3Sorc,1Druid, and on 3rd Warlock life with 3 PDK, 3 Sun-Elf, 1 BF and 1 DG IPLs.

Plus others with a handfull of PLs and unfinished EDs for TRing with guildies or for esses and gees
