    Default Instant Dungeon Alert...Weaksauce idiot game mechanic.

    Angry and frustrated every single GD time I run into this horse-s game mechanic.

    Instant DA when a group of mob spawns even after killing every single other mob in a dungeon like VON1 end arena fight (or any other fight).

    I am NOT talking about DA from zerging and ignoring mobs.

    This is either blatant short-sightedness, inability to understand the game you are working on or a SEVERE lack of imagination that keeps this type of mechanic in play in DDO.

    I can deal with the non-stop UNAVOIDABLE Gust of Wind spam (don't like it but GoW, Crippling, Tendon Slice are some of this Dev teams favorite ways to create "challenge" /shrug)

    BUT the instant dungeon alert along with all the other incoming damage, CC etc, etc that we have to avoid, is DISRESPECTFUL to players.

    (now I am yelling FYI)

    Instant DA is the typical Turbine STICK IN EYE that says "Thanks for playing now eff off"

    I agree DA caused by the proper spawning of mobs generally sucks.

    DA for the other reasons is good.

    I think the problem in many cases is it is hard to balance one without the other.

    DA is instance wide, not just the immediate area and player that has caused the DA in...It screws the entire party no matter where they are in the instance.

    instead of all the BS effects it does to players which ultimately screws some players more than others... The harried effect just screws with melee players who now cant get to the mobs to kill them.

    I agree with you here. I have seen DA hurt not the person that caused it, but the group that is following behind them. This especially sucks when the "first" person has dragged the mobs to a choke point which now no one else can get through. They are not effected because they have left all the mobs behind and are not getting hit.

    Right now DA is much like a snake. The first person that disturbs them isn't the one that gets bit, its the next one.
