Here's my suggestion for Cannith challenge gear and rune arms. Allow them to take shards as if a ML X item (where X is determined by the item in question, the old cannith items I suggest 5), and add X-2 to the ML of the underlying item (to reflect that MC was pretty much always used). Fairly easy and pretty close to the existing status quo.

That's not right. The OP was updated to remove the words "Feather Fall Effect" and "Underwater Action Effect" from underneath the "Exclusive Effects:" and "Random:" heading/subheading. That means that Feather Fall and Underwater Action are no longer exclusive effects to be found on random loot. In other words, Feather Fall and Underwater Action will be found on both lootgen and in Cannith crafting.
Creating problems where none are to be found.
That was going to be one of my questions for sure - thank you. Whether it ends up 3:1/5:1/10:1... I don't really care, but the lesser essence drops from item deconstruction has always been way too high with greater essences getting the short shrift... so yeah, there's a bunch of them around.
Other requests:
> I'd like it if every reward chest dropped 1+ of the new Cannith essences, just as coins are universally dropped. I'm think this would serve to encourage new crafters at the very least. Collectibles will already be a limiting factor; no need to add essence availability as well.
> One of my other concerns is already addressed... there will be no need for converting essences, so adding the 'bulk conversion' feature to those dialog boxes is now unnecessary.
Looks very encouraging.
Have fun, and don't forget to gather for buffs!

As this is a system change, I absolutely believe the exchange rate for Lessers should be equal [relatively] to the Greaters, 5:1. No less, no more. No one should be penalized during a system change.
It's good seeing where those of us with currently capped CC crafters will fall on the XP chart.
My questions:
1) Are there still no plans to make a trade-in of some sort for Shards of Potential? We dumped a LOT of essences into making those in the leveling process. I am aware now that there was a buggy issue with Vials, but those were for low level Shards and probably not that big of an issue.
2) {I should probably go review the original thread on this one, but since I'm already typing...} Current crafted shards. Not utilized in the future, of course, but will they be deconnable in the new thing? I'm thinking of how many Shards I have tucked away on umpteen alts all over the place...
Beyond that, I'm still sitting with the 'wait-and-see' folks.

One request for an exclusive effect: Turn Undead, or perhaps Insightful Turning.
More specifically, a bonus of up to 1 Turning Damage per character level is truly needed for our beleaguered clerics.
That said, if your idea for Eternal Faith/Hallowed/Sacred/Silver Flame... etc.. items will similarly boost these effects for Levels 21+, then I'm good. These just have never been updated and don't have enough power for epic levels.

I really think these issues are probably a 'just you and a few other people' concern. There's hasn't been a practical reason to hoard Shards of Potential or other Craftable Shards. They can be made at any time so there's been no reason to hoard them and have them take up bag/bank/inventory space.
The vials bug also allowed for substituting them for lesser essences when making Shards of Masterful Craftsmanship.
So you leveled up your crafting to create powerful stuff up to ML 20.
Unless I'm reading it wrong you can still create stuff up to ML 20 with your current xp.
If you were level 20 and they raise the level cap to 30, you wouldn't expect to be level 30 automatically just because you were level 20 would you?

Nope, with what they laid out I'll be able to try and craft ML15. But more importantly all my saved essences and collectibles.... allow me to repeat that ALL MY EARNED LEVELS, ESSENCES, COLLECTIBLES AND ESPECIALLY SHARDS WILL BE DEVALUED AND MADE USELESS WITH THEIR CURRENT PLAN. And unlike stuff that was found, looted my levels, my materials, my collectibles were ground out.
What are you talking about?
It's already been addressed that there will be a trade-in for both greater and lesser essences.
As for devaluing your levels... huh? There are new levels. When the level cap was raised to 30, all of your level 28 characters weren't bumped up to level 30 automatically. You had to earn the experience.
You're really not being victimized here.
Please don't sell the high level collectables in the store.
