So, I was in-game and decided to check out the stormhorns. I didn't have access but the pop up window offered to take me to the store. When it loaded the page was blank.
I had to search for a while to find out it was part of shadowfell, being an expansion it makes sense I have to log out to purchase it as I assume it will download.
I went to the DDO market found the page and went to check out. I then had an issue with being required to put in "new account" details. This was worrying so before I continued I had to search for a bit to find a thread from the forums that said its ok, just register download and get the key.
I did that, and got the download reciept, rather that just giving me a download here button, it says to go to myaccount and apply the code there.
So I clicked the link, a page pops up. I put my code into the enter code here box. Opps, no that's not the box your looking for, log in first. I log in using my IGN and password, takes my to my account. Here there are four tabs. Home, shows me that I have standard DDO, MOTU and allows me to change the account nickname(?? why on earth....?) but no option to apply a code.
The other tabs are "account profile" "change password" and "help" none of which appear to have any code boxes.
I've now submitted a ticket to customer support to see if they can help.
Ive been around for a while, I get that a large part of this is probably down to the idiot between this chair and keyboard but still, you make it so hard to spend money with you turbine!
Actually, no, the money was already spent before I knew it would be such a PITA, you do however make it so hard to want to spend money with you again.
I hope I get a reply soon but even so by the time its downloaded it will probably have been 2-3 hours at best before I can play, which means not tonight. Thats not a very good impression to be making to people if you want to get people to keep spending money.
I can log into steam, pick a game, pay for it, download something small OR massive and be playing within 5 mins to an hour.
