    Default Account Demoted

    Here is the story...

I log into the game this morning and my VIP status is gone. I normally enroll my account for a year at a time so my assumption is that it had expired. I go to the accounts page and it lets me log into my account and it shows premium access but no visible button/link to upgrade, renew, or "get unlimited access."

I called the technical support number for accounts only to be told via recording to F off because DDO subscribers are no longer worthy of telephone support (the recording was more polite but this is how it was received). I've submitted a ticket via the website but like any pixel addict I don't want to wait a week or two for a fix.

Anyone ever had this problem? - and if so were you able to fix it w/o dev help?

    Thnx

Phone support was ended about two weeks ago, and announced prior to the change that in order to provide longer in game support, phone support was being terminated. So this is not a "we don't care" about DDO subscribes as you are trying to illustrate, this was so they could eliminate the hours of waiting on in game tickets. Announced on the 1st, implemented on the 6th.

If you submitted a ticket on the website, then you followed proper protocol.

You should be able to see your subscription information through myaccount.turbine.com, but upgrading and renewing subscriptions are now done through the DDO Store in-game. Since you've sent in a ticket to us, one of our CS folks will be in touch with you. Thank you for the report, and we are sorry you are experiencing an issue.

Or, in other words, "We are sorry about your situation but are unable to help you at this time. Ticket closed."
