I like 3.
2 and 4 look more wiki but the craftsmanship is poor. If one of these are selected, will they be revised? 1 and 3 use images from the game which is fine, but 1 is just kinda meh. Things are placed wherever without much thought. 3 though has a really nice blue color palette and the symmetry is nice. I think it's the most professional/developed looking of the four and would look good as the DDO wiki pic.
#4
I'm the guy who did number one and frankly, if I had the choice of all my submissions for which one was in the finalists it'd have been my third submission. It just felt right to me. The one that ended up being selected was something I did for fun with my girl. So I was a bit surprised at that.

You decide. :P

Sorry, but none of the above. I now regret not completing and submitting what I had started. I got a logo done and have a concept for the cover image consistent with this logo design, but have not done it yet.

Let me know if you'd like me to continue with a cover image design.
(Vbulletin really needs to fully implement bbcode.)
I change my vote to Image #4, which wasn't available when I voted.
Coz ye canny beat a good kobold...
Unless ye've got a chib handy !
#3 is the best of this bunch. Don't know how selection process was. #1 is a just a screen screen shot, #2 and 4 look like something from the 70's and geared for little kids, they have a very cartoonish and kidish look to them
If this becomes an entry we can vote for, I would say #5 (the DDOwiki iconography quoted above). If that's not an option, #3 with the pillars looks the most professional. #4 looks nice too, btw so I am not surprised it's in the lead, but I agree with the motion to touch it up to give it an expert's edge. As for #2 - sorry, but that should not even be an entry - it looks thrown together and heavily copy-pasted from other sources - only the DDO wiki/verbiage looks original (no disrespect intended to the person who submitted #2, however).

Thanks. I threw this together this afternoon. I'm not 100% happy with it, but it is not bad. It is roughly the concept I had in mind. Any number of images could go in it. A series of them would be ideal. Some with a wider content image and without the logo (if it is to be used with the logo already in the header of the page). Though if it is to be displayed at 350x164 as the current cover image, this would not do at all, an entirely different design would be required. As-is, this image wants to be a full viewport width header image (mobile display not considered).
And on a light background:
If ddowiki.com wants to use any of it, I can provide a google drive share link to a folder with the GiMP .xcf, Inkscape .svg and fonts files.
I re vote for number 5. That logo is awesome. Though i like kobold of #4.
Knobull,
Even though your late entry has merit, it was submitted past the deadline. There were many aspects of the process that were unclear on what was to be chosen to be "thrown" into the final poll (e.g. simplicity, etc). It even took an outcry to add the Kolbold entry.
However, the one aspect that was very clear was the deadline, if I knew what they were looking for in an entry (after watching the "selection" process on ddostream), I would have done quite a few things differently and would have liked to add other options/entry myself. The rules are the rules (and should be adhered to). Also, I believe Shoemaker mentioned, maybe use the ideas in the future contest(s).
My vote would be for #4.
