DDOwiki Image Poll

These are the finalist submissions for the DDOwiki home screen / social media poll. The entry period lasted one month on Calling all graphic artists!!! and judging of the images happened on the most recent DDOwiki talk with T13 (ShoeMaker) which can be viewed on the YouTube DDOwiki Talk playlist.

That's cool but how do we vote? I don't see the usual selectable button and instead see the results directly. (I guess free account and voting inside the fansite news section don't play well together?)

Nor can I edit my posts I vote for the 2nd option in case the poll is not moved to a more public section of the forum...

I Agree Vote for #4, The Kolbold.

In fact, there were quite a few that were better options than these 3 choices in the poll (and as mentioned - no offense to the 3 chosen). I apologize ahead of time but I do feel that maybe more specifics provided early on to what the Judge(s) was (were) looking for would have helped in a more "focused" selection. It appears that the Kolbold banner did not make it because it was too complex based on a comment or 2 on the stream.

I voted for image #2. Image #3 looks good but is not detailed enough to indicate the purpose of the DDO Wiki.

I Agree Vote for #4, The Kolbold.

grrowler got in touch with me, and I reviewed and I misread my spreadsheet with the last minute submission and I forgot to add the forum post link to that new submission making me think that the submission above that was by Grrowler was by Seruvontes. I formally apologize for that oversite/error on my part. I've offered Grrowler the 500TP code that it should have won as a finalist submission. I've checked on the forums and there is no way for me to modify the existing poll, and it wouldn't be fair to the 35-40 people who already voted for me to have to recreate the whole thing from scratch. I've requested information from Cordovan via PM to see if he can modify the poll to add the fourth submission explaining my error.

I like 3.

2 and 4 look more wiki but the craftsmanship is poor. If one of these are selected, will they be revised? 1 and 3 use images from the game which is fine, but 1 is just kinda meh. Things are placed wherever without much thought. 3 though has a really nice blue color palette and the symmetry is nice. I think it's the most professional/developed looking of the four and would look good as the DDO wiki pic.

I'm the guy who did number one and frankly, if I had the choice of all my submissions for which one was in the finalists it'd have been my third submission. It just felt right to me. The one that ended up being selected was something I did for fun with my girl. So I was a bit surprised at that.

Oh my, I hope you're all aware these images aren't safe for work?

I think the current image is clean and neat.

I voted for # 3. It is simpler. Cleaner. Not as busy. The others are good too but they have too much going on and can be too busy/distracting.

Just my opinion.
