    Default Lets talk Heroic Spells.

When was the last time they released a new spell (Not thinking about Epic Spell Feats)? Wasn't one of the last spells they released, "Cyclonic Blast" back in update 24?^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Since then we have seen 2 key additions to the monsters available. We have Magma Elements, and Ice Elementals. The Ice Elementals use frost lance, where as the Magma Elementals use Meteor Swarm. Doesn't that seem a bit weird? Shouldn't the Ice Elementals be able to throw chunks of ice at you, rather than streams of ice?

Why hasn't there been any additions to any elemental spells such as this? Doesn't it make sense to throw chunks of ice lol? The animation could even be identical to Meteor Swarm, just with a bit more swooshy ice effects rather than exploding chaos. While on the topic, Why hasn't Acid and Electric gotten a spell that is similar to, "Scorching Ray", and "Frost Lance"?

In Short, Could we please get more spells added into the game?

Some warlock only spells are wizard staples it's a shame that Evard can't cast his Black tentacles spell, (Wiz/Sor 4), Clerics and bards lost Silence (Brd 2, Clr 2), Enchant weapons this was an artificer "Infusion" but Scrolls say clerics can use it without spell check same with Enchant Armor Both these were originally wizard or clerical buff spells magic weapon and magical vestments it's odd to find a scroll clerics can use but not memorize. There are probably more but I want to get into new idea.

Illusions sorely lacking currently Wiz/Sorc have 7 spells this is 2nd only to Divination's 4 spells in the form of BAD. I mean we don't have Iconic Diviners but we do have Iconic Illusionists. it's so bad there isn't even an one illusion of each level. Spells I propose are cannon from D&D I will attempt to show the Original then how I would have it adapted to the DDO environment.

Currently there are no illusion spells of 1st level that can be memorized.
Potential Spells include but are not limited to. Color Spray, Disguise Self, Magic Aura, Silent Image, and Ventriloquism. Some I just out ignored as they wouldn't be effective in DDO; Disguise Self & Magic Aura and 1 I rolled in to another spell and gave it both names. Ghost Sound & Ventriloquism

    Color Spray
This exists as an Iconic Deep Gnome Racial SLA but why isn't it a regular spell?
    level 1 Illusion (Pattern) [Mind-Affecting] 9 sp
Metamagic: Empower, Maximize, Quicken, Heighten, Enlarge, Intensify, Embolden Spell Resistance: No

Enemies are sprayed with illusions of color, and must make a Will save or be Dazed, Blinded, and/or Silenced. The target must make a saving throw for each effect.

    New to DDO Silent Image
    Illusion (Figment)
    Level: Brd 1, Sor/Wiz 1
Components: V, S, F (bit of Fleece) < could be a new special component for Illusion spells)
Casting Time: 1 standard action < this is 6 seconds but I will get into this later.
    Range: Long (400 ft. + 40 ft./level) < this just isn't feasible in ddo
Effect: Visual figment that cannot extend beyond four 10-ft. cubes + one 10-ft. cube/level (S) < This is to open ended for DDO work around below.
Duration: Concentration < ha there are no concentration spells in ddo but I would suggest 30 secs per caster level
Saving Throw: Will disbelief (if interacted with) < I like this
    Spell Resistance: No
This spell creates the visual illusion of an object, creature, or force, as visualized by you. The illusion does not create sound, smell, texture, or temperature. You can move the image within the limits of the size of the effect. < this effect is neat but to Open ended for DDO's program team.

DDO changes Add a SP cost I am thinking 10, I would have a new Special Material component Bits of Fleece (to pull the wool over their eyes) give it a duration like 30s + 6 sec per caster level.
    I would make it work like a Summoning where you have 3 or so choices in what you create;
Crate/barrel to hide behind or in this would block line of sight if the enemy didn't make it's will save
Silent Warrior this would could be like Flame Turret a Hate Magnet who's purpose is to distract till enemies make there saves.
Scary thing, this would be the opposite of the Silent warrior, this would try to frighten mobs away from a spot, one will save or flee one to Disbelieve.

    Ghost Sound/Ventriloquism
    Illusion (Figment)
Level: Brd 0, Sor/Wiz 0 < DDO doesn't have 0-level spells but it does have some level 1's that look just like level 0.
    Components: V, S, M < will also need a SP cost I am thinking like 6
Casting Time: 1 standard action < ddo doesn't use this but it does have a standard casting time for spells.
Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels) < this might work I would place this spell on the crosshair
Effect: Illusory sounds < too open ended might need just a couple choices
Duration: 1 round/level (D) < this would need to be reworked in to DDO times
Saving Throw: Will disbelief (if interacted with)
    Spell Resistance: No
{Ghost sound allows you to create a volume of sound that rises, recedes, approaches, or remains at a fixed place. You choose what type of sound ghost sound creates when casting it and cannot thereafter change the sound’s basic character.

The volume of sound created depends on your level. You can produce as much noise as four normal humans per caster level (maximum twenty humans). Thus, talking, singing, shouting, walking, marching, or running sounds can be created. The noise a ghost sound spell produces can be virtually any type of sound within the volume limit. A horde of rats running and squeaking is about the same volume as eight humans running and shouting. A roaring lion is equal to the noise from sixteen humans, while a roaring dire tiger is equal to the noise from twenty humans.

Ghost sound can enhance the effectiveness of a silent image spell.} < far to much for DDO programmer.

I am envisioning a sorta Bluff like spell that won't break stealth/invisibility but Bluff tends to pull the target towards the bluffer I would have this spell move them off in a direction away from the caster or if the effect creates like phantom footsteps it could be set to where the crosshair is pointing when it's cast. this would allow low level spell casters some early location control. the will save would be to realize they were tricked. become hostile and go looking for one that tricked it.

    Level 2
currently this is the level actual illusions show up in ddo; Blur, Invisibility, and Hypnotic Pattern.
ones we don't have Magic Mouth, Minor Image, Mirror Image, Misdirection. I will be ignoring Magic Mouth & Misdirection they do not really work in ddo.

Minor Image much like it's level 1 sibling Silent image this could be handled like a summoning, only as an illusion can't actually attack and do damage also Can't actually be hurt
maybe stick with an Object, a Hate target, or Fear inducer. ?? I don't know for the level 2 object, but Hate target could be like a rat or something though of as weak. the Scary could be like scorpion

Mirror Image this was my favorite low level spell in Balder's gate.
    Illusion (Figment)
    Level: Brd 2, Sor/Wiz 2
Components: V, S < 15 SP feels right (at first pass)
Casting Time: 1 standard action < needs DDO casting time.
    Range: Personal; see text
    Target: You
Duration: 1 min./level (D) < this may or may not need to be changed
Several illusory duplicates of you pop into being, making it difficult for enemies to know which target to attack. The figments stay near you and disappear when struck. < this should be Do able.

Mirror image creates 1d4 images plus one image per three caster levels (maximum eight images total). These figments separate from you and remain in a cluster, each within 5 feet of at least one other figment or you. You can move into and through a mirror image. When you and the mirror image separate, observers can’t use vision or hearing to tell which one is you and which the image. The figments may also move through each other. The figments mimic your actions, pretending to cast spells when you cast a spell, drink potions when you drink a potion, levitate when you levitate, and so on. < up to 8 (depending on Caster Level) illusory doubles of the caster, this might be tricky but shouldn't be impossible. I assume they would each have a name plate and be target-able, and then make them circle around you but in some pattern where the caster isn't always the guy in the middle.

Enemies attempting to attack you or cast spells at you must select from among indistinguishable targets. Generally, roll randomly to see whether the selected target is real or a figment. Any successful attack against an image destroys it. An image’s AC is 10 + your size modifier + your Dex modifier. Figments seem to react normally to area spells (such as looking like they’re burned or dead after being hit by a fireball). < this ac might be too low in ddo. and the lack of AOE damage might need to be fixed.

While moving, you can merge with and split off from figments so that enemies who have learned which image is real are again confounded. < the Images would need to sorta weave in and out of the caster in a way that would help disguise him, maybe a diplomacy/bluff like effect where if something has the caster targeted it, the focus shifts to one of the figments.

An attacker must be able to see the images to be fooled. If you are invisible or an attacker shuts his or her eyes, the spell has no effect. (Being unable to see carries the same penalties as being blinded.) < I don't know how this would work. as currently you can tab target people even when blind unless when blinded only the actual caster could be targeted or something.

Level 3 Currently has Displacement thats it.
Options Invisibility Sphere, & Major Image.

    Invisibility Sphere
sorta like a low level version of Invisibility, Mass but since it would only effect creatures that stay within 10ft of the target it could lead to interesting team tactics. I see this as being like Globe of invulnerability like effect all inside are invisible but only the Target of the spell can see where it is so he has to let his comrades know if they are going to break the limits and be rendered visible. I can see a wiz/sorc casting this on a Steathy type with a Tank in the effect, them both moving at the Stealth types speed but tank type having lower stealth skills ends up getting aggro which is fine he breaks the spell limit or monster swings at his invisible space breaking the Tanks invisibility but not the Stealthy type he maneuvers into position to assist before attacking and breaking the spell.

Major Image or Illusory summoning 3 add SP cost for 20
    Illusion (Figment)
    Level: Brd 3, Sor/Wiz 3
Duration: Concentration + 3 rounds < I think this would need to be brought into ddo terms
This spell functions like silent image, except that sound, smell, and thermal illusions are included in the spell effect. While concentrating, you can move the image within the range. < Movement don't know how smell and thermal would work in ddo.

The image disappears when struck by an opponent unless you cause the illusion to react appropriately. < I don't think this is feasible in ddo

Continue to treat this as summons with 2 or more options

    4th level illusions
Currently this is Where Phantasmal Killer hides with no friends.

Illusory Wall: Wall, floor, or ceiling looks real, but anything can pass through. < super easy blocks line of sight but not line of effect.
Invisibility, Greater: As invisibility, but subject can attack and stay invisible. < this sorta exists as a Shadowdancer ability, so the code to do it exists
Rainbow Pattern: Lights fascinate 24 HD of creatures. < This one I will go into below
Shadow Conjuration: Mimics conjuration below 4th level, but only 20% real. < OMG this is just any 3rd level or lower Conjuration (summoning) or Conjuration (Creation) of which I think DDO only has summoning access to all the 3rd level and below creatures skined in black shadow stuff, stats are only 20% normal, so really it's not going to help but it might be enough of a distraction to seize the advantage.

    Illusion (Pattern) [Mind-Affecting]
    Level: Brd 4, Sor/Wiz 4
    Components: V (Brd only), S, M, F; < DDO doesn't do focuses so maybe a special matieral
    Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level) < this is probily to much but I assume DDO has a medium range
Effect: Colorful lights with a 20-ft.-radius spread
    Duration: Concentration +1 round/ level (D)
    Saving Throw: Will negates
    Spell Resistance: Yes
A glowing, rainbow-hued pattern of interweaving colors fascinates those within it. Rainbow pattern fascinates a maximum of 24 Hit Dice of creatures. Creatures with the fewest HD are affected first. Among creatures with equal HD, those who are closest to the spell’s point of origin are affected first. An affected creature that fails its saves is fascinated by the pattern. < I don't know if DDO will do anything about the HD or order they are effected

With a simple gesture (a free action), you can make the rainbow pattern move up to 30 feet per round (moving its effective point of origin). All fascinated creatures follow the moving rainbow of light, trying to get or remain within the effect. Fascinated creatures who are restrained and removed from the pattern still try to follow it. If the pattern leads its subjects into a dangerous area each fascinated creature gets a second save. If the view of the lights is completely blocked creatures who can’t see them are no longer affected. < I don't know if DDO will include the moving part but if the do it's a hell of a control spell.

The spell does not affect sightless creatures. < right so blind or "sightless" are out.

I will try to continue with these new spell ideas after some sleep night ddo.
