And there it goes again. You called me a liar (that I'm not the level I say I am and not getting the loot level I say I am) and told me again how to get the loot I need/how to play the game. I think I've provided enough arguments for the points I (and my guildies) wanted to make and I'm leaving that discussion that is going in circles.

This...SOOOO THIS!!! I honestly cannot believe you guys are b*tch!ng about a bonus. Get a life!
Get your Korthos set and whatever random **** (its all ****, yes)drops. I often run with one, two, or more slots open because I have nothing to equip at level 1,2,3,etc BIG DEAL! I still steamroll the content because it's known to me and many of the new classes and passes to old classes have increased their power exponentially. Really? What in the world are you complaining about with the loot bonus!?!
Some of you chicken littles can spin anything negatively. If it upsets you THAT much, stop playing for a couple of days....the bonus is only for a few days anyhow.
Lastly, craft up some lowbie gear and ignore the random gen loot. Non-existent problem solved. Wait, is that even possible....
I wouldn't really go so far as to call it a penalty, but I certainly wouldn't call it a bonus.
All it accomplishes is getting loot IN ADVANCE. There is no qualitative aspect to it. It's just you are getting it sooner than otherwise would have. Tell me how this is a bonus in any way, shape, or form??? The best it does it clutter your inventory with stuff you need 2-4 levels in the future.
Again, there is absolutely no benefit I can think of to a "LOOT + 2" "bonus". It's just an artificial advance payment that you can't use anyways, so why advance it in the first place? It's sort of like getting your "allowance" as a kid 2 days early, but only if you don't spend it for 2 days. LOL. Why? So you can just look at it???
I will endorse the alternate idea of +2 to the Loot ROLLS. IE it actually influences the QUALITY of the loot! So much more useful.

I do! I TR'ed on Friday and have been running with the starter gear all the way to level 4 because I can't get anything level appropriate to drop. I have been using the +1 flame touch weapon they give you at the start, as well as the various end reward gear that drops. I can't even find something in the AH. I have been saving the level 5 and up gear that has been dropping, but 1 through 4 has been a desert.
I like the loot boost at high levels, but man it is counter-productive at low levels. It's not going to matter going forward, but it sure mattered this weekend.
Orion. But I am playing FVS. Since I am elf I would like a rapier since I am proficient. Even so, I actually went to the AH and listed *everything* from 1 to 4. Not just the weapons. It was very slim pickings. I found a named ML 1 set of armor with a colorless slot that was actually useful since I could put my master's gift in it. Unfortunately that was the only useful thing. Orion is currently buzzing with new players, so it's possible that the AH has been picked clean, but with the loot boost weekend it wasn't being replenished, since ML 3 would have been the lowest drop possible all weekend. I have a somewhat unavoidable guild boost and was running elite all weekend, so the minimum drop for me was level 5.
It's not that big a deal to me. I have a mind-boggling number of past lives and could stand naked in any elite dungeon 1 through 4, and not get killed. It would literally not be possible. In fact its is so not a big deal to me that I couldn't be bothered crafting some useful gear. It makes no difference to the outcome. But I do want to point out that it's really not a bonus to push the low level MLs up. It makes it literally impossible to equip a baby toon through dungeon loot. It is a valid observation which doesn't need to be trolled like it is. It's something that Turbine really should be made aware of because there are new players that probably would equip any nice gear they found if only that were actually possible.
New players should be using the Korthos equipment and the level 1 barbarian hireling can solo quests on normal up until about level 4 or 5 quests.
"Veteran" players should have a crafted invuln BP and the rest of their gear doesn't matter until level 8 because you are immortal.
+2 loot means you should take this opportunity to run quests 2 levels lower than you (which is still 100% xp) rather then those at level.
It's a dumb bonus but it's hardly one to get worked up about. Should really just be all items are mastercrafted or something actually usefl.
Just a note: It is actually 90% xp, no bravery bonuses and almost no remnants if you are running elite. (still 90% xp if you are running hard or normal)
A level 2 quest on elite is level 4. With the loot boost, loot is level 6. So, to get loot your level you would need to run the level 2 quest at level 6. That's a 10% penalty. Same with a level 2 hard quest at level 5. Same with a level 2 normal quest at level 4.
It also means you can't group with others and you are too powerful for the quest.
Basically what I'm saying is that you're outright trolling
